Trying to open myself up to the fitness world more and help out the community. Within the next week or so I'll be adding videos to my youtube channel discussing popular topics like IIFYM, contest prep, peak week, nutrient timing, etc. and any other requests. But in the meantime before I get my 1st videos underway, anyone with any questions about getting shredded or fitness in general, ask away brahs.
No 'ask me anything' thread is a thread without pics. so here's proof that I can actually get shredded
And here's a posing video I took a couple weeks after my last show of the contest season. I'm not quite as lean as I was on stage so I'm a little less sharp, but I reverse dieted pretty well so I'm still in near stage condition. This is the channel where I'll be updating with more videos in the future.
EDIT:
it's already being brought up so I might as well address it now. Yes I'm natty. I've been lifting for over 6 years now and have been doing drug tested shows for about 4 years, I weigh about 160-164 lbs. on stage. Idc if you believe me or not... only I know for sure what I've put in my body and that's all that matters. I hope most of you can find a little inspiration in my natural status, but for those that wanna accuse and refuse to believe it then that's just your loss I guess, you've already made up your mind and there's nothing I can really do to change it.
While I'm at it, shameless plug-in because yolo. I've started online coaching so send me a PM if interested in that, and if you wanna follow along for more progress and all that good stuff you can give me a follow on Instagram at Live_laugh_lift26

have you lost muscle while maintaining strength on a cut?

Do it brah
I don't really have an opinion either way against it, I think it can be effective but at the same time I don't think there any real or huge benefits over not doing it. When in a calorie deficit however, I do think you should have a reefed day 1-2 times a week depending on how lean you are, so that's a form of it
This most recent time I only got up to 185-188 lb. probably in the low teens bf%. I've gotten up to 210ish before, but that was a few years ago and I bulked hard and got super soft lol
Nice brah what coach did you work with? I'm currently working with a top coach as well.
and I don't really know tbh lol, I think remember measuring it around 27-28ish during prep though.
not sure what that is tbh, aware me?http://instagram.com/live_laugh_lift26

absolutely diet 100% no question. this last prep I dieted for about 20 weeks and didn't even do a single session of cardio until about 4 weeks out.
Yeah in my earlier cuts when I started off on too low of calories and did too much cardio, absolutely. I've managed to get better on minimizing the muscle loss every prep so far, it's been a learning experiencehttp://instagram.com/live_laugh_lift26

If you're a legit 10%, then yeah getting down to 9% in 2 weeks should be possible. Though tbh that really won't make that big of a difference in front of drunk sloots and dark parties/bars that can't even tell so I don't really see the point, I've done the same in the past and never really thought it was worth it
Count your calories/macros. Make sure you're hitting about 300-500 cals over your maintenancehttp://instagram.com/live_laugh_lift26

What is the best way to maintain muscle while cutting? What were your macros like? How low of a calorie deficit do you think you should start at? How long do you think it'd take to get from 20% to 10% with proper diet/lifting?
If my maintenance is 2800 and I drop it 200 calories to start, would it be a big deal if it fluctuated from 2600-2650 calories? I mean you can't get exactly 2600 every day right?
Sorry for retard questions never have a legit cut.- New Jersey Crew (732) -
