I was playing around last night just before heading to bed and I found this Nautilus pullover for sale. With a little bit of research, I've found out it is the women's version. Not a bad thing, its just a bit narrower. I like the fact it looks very compact, which in my very, very space limited basement gym, is a good thing. What else do I need to know before buying? What year is it? Is a side weight stack good (one sided torque?)? Should I switch out a shorter back pad? Are the mechanics OK for me being a bit over 5'7"?
BTW it would be a 7hr round trip.....but the guy only wants $60 for it!!!!

Not a bad machine, but why would you drive seven hours to buy a one-movement machine that may or may not fit you to place it in your "very, very space limited" gym? My gym isn't particularly space limited, and I'm still careful about the decisions I make about filling that space. I'm the last guy to criticize the purchase of more gym equipment, so buy it if you like it. Still, me personally, I'd probably pass.

Your post isn't criticizing....its getting me to think if its a good idea or not! Even though its a one movement machine, a pullover is a nice piece and the best to isolate the lats! After some more looking, I've found the measurements to be 3ft wide and 4ft deep/long. The biggest hurdle to this purchase is winning over my wife.

It is 550lbs.

i think the women's version would be easier for me as well. i've had the chance to buy the full blown version for 100 and it was too wide to sit my arms properly. i did try someone's recently here (hope they sell it to me eventually lol) and it fit perfect. not sure if it was the women's or not.

It's a relatively compact machine compared to the full version. I had an original and it was huge and weighed like 700 lbs.
