I was just wondering .. Are the athletes allowed to compete in other federations too after they have earned their Pro cards ???
Baitollah Abbaspour won his Pro Card at the 2003 World Bodybuilding Championships in India.
But he also competed in WBPF Asian Championships in Teheran (2-7 aug. 2010) ?!!! [and won the 90kg and overall]
being a pro doesn't mean being exclusive to IFBB ?

I didn't post it to state that. lol
Some of bodybuilders I know and gurus/coaches of my friends compete in their federation for World , Asian , Universe. So the topic came up yesterday when we were talking. A friend { who doesn't follow IFBB much , except the O} looked at the photo and said, that He[Baito] is a really great athlete and made his country proud (IRAN). So when I asked him , he mentioned 2010 .And I searched it up. lol

Yeah , the 212 class brought much better conditioning and show at the olympia. All the top open guys were just disappointing. And it is clear that Baito has no problem getting shredded and is a contender for next year
Yeah a lot of competitors come in peeled in these federations. It is as popular in Asia as NCP in the US. But Baito's level was like Godly compared to other competitors here. The Iranian team is one of the strongest in Asia.
Edit : Found the video too

he is about 90kg (198 lbs) in those pics (Light-heavyweight) and I think he was even heavier at the 2013 Mr. O and lost weight for 212 class.
In 2008 he won 80kg (176 lbs) and under class at the 62nd IFBB Men's World Bodybuilding Championships held in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain November 3 through 7, 2008.
