Ronnie about lost in 2002 to a Kevin with crappy back and legs. Kevin at his best wasn't better than Phil, let alone 2002 Kevin. Ronnie has this false legacy on this forum of complete invulnerability when he competed, that's not how it was. He about lost in 2002, he was OFF, period. He also about lost to a more conditioned Jay in 2001. Like it or not, he lost parts of both shows, predjudging in 2001 and finals in 2002. 2011 Phil would have been smaller, but better proportioned with a much better mix of fullness and dryness. A 90% ronnie beats a 100% Phil, but that isnt' even a 90% Ronnie. His legs were flat and lacking detail, his arms looked horrid, waist looked big because he was flat everywhere else.. Just a mess compared to a 2011 Phil which was pretty much perfectly peaked. If Levrone can win a round no back or legs, Phil can beat him.

You don't need to give me any type of history lesson....I have been in this sport for almost 20 years.
Ronnie was too much for Jay in 2001 at being slightly off. Side to side Ronnie won....period.
Ronnie was off in 2002 and still won hands down. A lot of these "close calls" are a way to make things interesting for the sport. Nobody touched Ronnie during his reign. 2006 Ronnie loses due to injuries to his body (missing lat and arm) and his body showing signs of going downhill.
Ronnie was the most dominant force EVER in bodybuilding. Heath, as good as he is, is not even in the same league as Ronnie. Nobody has come close and will not come close for years to come.
The fact that you even consider Phil in Ronnie's league shows your lack of bodybuilding knowledge.Last edited by trulyhuge1; 10-11-2014 at 12:20 PM.

Ronnie did not win "hands down" in the 2002 Olympia. Winning hands down is what Phil Heath did in 2013 when he got straight firsts and was taken out of the callouts in the prejudging. How can you say somebody won hands down when they were BEATEN at the finals LMFAO. Ronnie was BEATEN in half of the contest. 2011 Phil Heath > 2002 Ronnie Coleman

Have people actually forgot an "off" Ronnie DID lose to Gunther at the GNC show of strength?
No disrespect to the king of bodybuilding Ronnie coleman, but he DID lose the finals against levrone in 02.
Had levrone had bigger legs and a better back, he would have dominated coleman in 02 IMO seeing how his front upper body that year was so much better.
Now that's just my personal opinion

So much this. But there's no use trying to reason with some of these guys. I think the fact that Coleman was nearly dethroned in 2002 somehow taints Coleman's image as this unbeatable juggernaut (in their eyes).
Now compare 2011 Phil to 2002 Levrone and tell me who would win that contest? Phil would beat that version of Levrone EASILY...a Levrone that beat Coleman at the finals. You can figure out the rest.

Coleman is not FAR superior to DY. DY is the closest thing to Ronnie.. And even if Ronnie's back is bigger, it is no where near as hard as Dorian's.
Ronnie himself said , had DY kept on competing , in no way could Ronnie have won. And we know Ronnie isn't someone who just plays BS modesty n humility game. I too believe Ronnie is the best ever but he is not FAR superior. The on stage physique of DY is the closest thing to on stage Ronnie.
Dorian after becoming pro.. One 2nd place at NOC.. 2nd place at his Olympia debut (beating Haney in muscularity round) and then 6 straight wins. No one has had that good record since. N that too against some of the best competitors.
