Should be the dumbbells be touched together when lifting up in chest exercises such as presses and flies? Do you touch them?

I try not to as it takes tension off the muscles, and is considered bad form by perfectionists. However when I'm lifting heavy, and I'm struggling to control the weight for the last few reps il sometimes bang the weights at the top without realising until I've done it.
So I'd try not to if I where you, but if you do, I wouldn't say it's a big deal. It's not gonna make much difference IMO.
