    Question how much weight

I am wondering what's the average weights for the big exercises bench press, squat, and deadlift. I am 35 5ft 10 and weigh around 300 lbs. I am at 225lbs bench 345 lb deadlift not sure actual squat max but 415 hack squat. What are everyone's numbers. I have been lifting on the regular for a year now.

I wouldn't worry about what others lift unless your going to compete. Your weights aren't bad for only a year of lifting, just keep pushing and your totals will go up!

Look up the records for the federation you plan on competing in. Find the results for a recent meet that you would compete in. That way you can see what others, who you may be competing directly, are lifting. My first meet is in November. The federation holds a meet every year at the same time and location. I have a good idea of what I need to lift to be competitive in my division. Unfortunately, few compete in my age bracket, so I probably won't have any direct competition. Regardless, I plan on enjoying the experience.

My goal is to have so much equipment that I don't have room to workout. I am almost there. :)

thanks for posting that link. I've been kinda down on myself lately that my lifts arent going up quick enough but it seems i'm bang on intermediate for all the major lifts. Given that i ve been training a bit over 3 years with a 6 month lay-off thats not so bad after all.

Very handy that chart. I can now aim for those advanced numbers within the next 2 years.

5 years to become an advanced lifter is respectable, yes?

Just being in the gym and having strong lifts is respectable.

You could get those numbers sooner depending on your training and recovery abilities.

Just go ahead and sign up for a meet and go for it! Your first meet is more of a learning experience anyway. If you like, you have something to build on.

My first meet is Dec 13th. I'll never know "how i would do in a meet", until i actually give it a try.

    Good Luck!
