Kk, will see what arrangements I can pull off with a call.
Haagen - Dazs Spiced Pecan Turtle
Here goes the last one left.
Weakest in the Artisan line - line up. I'll start with the good. Their chocolate base is better than B&J and actually decent; no more than that though. Fortunately, it's also harder than the Brigadeiro pint.
The amount of these "smallish" chocolate covered pecan clusters is "fair" and they stay crunchy. They are actually the best part of the pint.
That would be it for the positives, while the negatives affect every part of this flavor. You see, this chocolate base in infused with too much pumpkin spice which ends up getting in the way. The clusters are also unevenly distributed giving you large portions of you choc/pumpkin spice awkard tasting base. And the caramel swirl? "Practically" non - existent.
Would not recommend even trying this one out. Final rankings (don't have the banana pint around):
1) Chocolate Caramelized Oat
2) Ginger Molasses Cookie
3) Brigadeiro (fairly close to 2 though)
4) Spiced Pecan Turtle

Still waiting. I'm interested in trying them because if Blue Bunny's dairy free flavors are any indication, they're making a lot of progress in flavoring when it comes to Almond Milk ice creams.
They used almond milk, so I was a little surprised by the fat content. Hopefully this means the taste is up to par."Nutrition for powerlifting: If you are serious about it, you will eat f*cking everything and get strong as $hit." - HamburgerTrain

Has anyone tried Frozen Pints?
edit: Oh, and by the way, Erick, what's with the caramel pronunciation? I thought only Californians did thatLast edited by EmperorRyker; 02-03-2016 at 06:38 PM.

For those of us who don't have access to Cake My Day, there is still a great cake alternative in Ben & Jerry's line up. Honesty, it had been such a long time since I last had this one that I didn't remember much about it beyond the fact that it was awesome...so a refresher was due.
You start with a base that they say is "Boston Cream Pie" flavored but I'm not quite sure what that means. What it actually tastes like is vanilla cake batter. It is so on point that when other producers introduce cake batter flavored items, replicating this base should be their goal.
And talking about cake, those white cake pieces are unreal: soft and moist white cake. They are abundant and sizeable...no ground up crumbs here. Easily B&J's best cake mix - in and possibly their best overall in the cake/cookie/dough category.
Then, there are those controversial chocolate chips. Believe it or not though, here they do a great job of providing contract. In terms of texture, they add a crunch experience which the other soft components lack, while in the flavor dimension you get a palate cleansing bitterness that lets you better appreciate all the other sweet elements.
Perhaps, if there is one aspect that could be improved in this pint, it is the pastry cream swirl. This is just not thick or abundant enough so that even when present, it is hard to detect.
I wouldn't say that this underrated flavor is one to always have available in your freezer, but if you've never had it or just haven't had for a while, it'd be a good idea to pick up a pint.

I'd be happy with either more chips or a swirl. I think it could use a little more chocolate. Still a great pint as it, though.
IIRC i usually get a pretty decent amount of pastry swirl.
Just tried blue bell for the first time since their re-launch. I had the C&C. It tasted the same to me, so if you enjoyed it before, you can scoop with confidence. It's nothing mind blowing, though. Like a C+.Last edited by nakkiz; 02-04-2016 at 09:40 AM.

Publix Premium Monkey Business
The other seasonal, limited edition Publix offering I decided to pick up was Monkey Business. It is described as banana ice cream with thick chocolate fudge and sprinkled with chocolate covered peanuts. As always, we aren’t dealing with the densest of ice cream bases here but it is a solid offering nonetheless. The banana flavor isn’t artificial tasting by any means, but it certainly isn’t the best I’ve scooped. It has a perfect balance to it, not overly sweet but also providing a slight tang to it.
The mix-ins really improved the mediocre base. The chocolate fudge is more along the lines of a thick ribbon, and not runny like a swirl. It provides a slight crunch with every spoonful. It leans more towards dark chocolate in taste, rather than milk chocolate.
The chocolate covered peanuts aren’t quite as rich in cocoa flavor as the fudge ribbon, and therefore bring a different chocolate flavoring to the ice cream. I would say the chocolate from the ribbon is more present than the chocolate provided from the peanuts. However, the texture couldn’t be better. They provide a much needed crunch to the ice cream without being rock hard. Lastly, they also offer a hint a saltiness that gives you a little sweet and savory combination of flavors.
Overall, the banana is of average quality but has a good balance of flavor. Combined with the fudge chocolate, it is a nice one-two punch. The peanuts are a much welcomed mix-in that provides a crunch with a bit of saltiness. I enjoyed this limited edition offering, but I won’t be scooping it again. And I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to pick this up, unless you are a banana fanatic. C+I.C.E.D.
