Where did you find them for half off?Blue Bell Christmas Cookies

All Blue Bell winter ice creams were half off, so don’t mind if I do rescoop one of my favorite offerings by them. I will try to keep it short and sweet since I have already reviewed this before. The sugar cookie base is extremely sweet and quite reminiscent of your typical sugar cookie. It is the same density and consistency as all other flavors. What stood out more to me this go round was the green icing swirl and the candy cane pieces. I remember the swirl being pretty flavorless before, but this time it seemed to add an even more sugary flavor to the sugar cookie base. The candy cane pieces seemed crunchier also, but that could have been due to more of them in this half gallon. Lastly, the snickerdoodle, chocolate chip and sugar cookies are a great addition to the ice cream. Each one is very soft, moist, & chewy with all of them about the size of a quarter. However, I will be honest and say that the base does overpower the taste of each cookie when combined together in one spoonful. Although, each one is packed full of flavor when enjoyed one by one, and trust me, there are plenty of them for you to take advantage of every few bites. Give this flavor a scoop if you are still fortunate enough to find it in your area. B+

Häagen-Dazs Bourbon Pecan Praline
Although I enjoy pecans, I’m always a little skeptic with alcohol infused ice creams, so I didn’t know what to expect when scooping this limited edition flavor up. The extremely dense premium base is on par as usual. However, the bourbon base is richer than I had hoped for and full of that bourbon whiskey flavor, a little much to my liking actually. I found the bourbon and brown sugar swirl to be more on the sweeter side and much easier to handle. The pecan pralines were perfectly sized and scattered everywhere throughout the pint. I could actually taste the grittiness of the brown sugar glaze on the pecans, which provided a well-needed crunch to the ice cream. The swirls and pecan pralines alone are what saved this from being a disastrous pint for me. I am not saying it is a bad flavor, just not my cup of tea. Therefore, I only recommend you pick this up if bourbon is your sort of thing. C

B&J Pistachio Pistachio, one of their simplest flavors but done flawlessly; great flavor from the ice cream and plenty of pistachios adding a crunch and bursts of flavor throughout. Not something I have often but when in the mood for pistachio this can't be beat.

My Super Target now carries all 3 Cookie Core flavors, so if you're still searching that's a good place to look.
I also saw 2 new flavors of Breyer's Indulgences Gelato: Strawberry Truffle and Cappucino."Nutrition for powerlifting: If you are serious about it, you will eat f*cking everything and get strong as $hit." - HamburgerTrain

Jeni’s Sweet Corn & Black Raspberries
I bought this flavor because it sounded very intriguing, as I’m generally not the biggest fan of fruit based ice creams. However, this caught me completely off guard. The base is extremely dense, which again reminds me of how Jeni’s gets away with many great flavors despite the lack of mix-ins. It is a very hard flavor to describe, but in all honesty, it almost reminds me of a cheesecake type flavor. It boasts the perfect amount of sweetness that you would expect from sweet corn, and the boldness of the corn flavor truly does stand out in every spoonful. To top things off, Jeni’s added a fresh blackberry sauce. Unlike many ice creams, the sauce is not artificially flavored and is made from actual grounded up berries with the seeds still present within it. The flavor is mildly tart, and when paired with the corn base, each spoonful offers the perfect blend of sweetness without any ingredient overpowering the other. Because of the buttery toasted oat-streusel incorporated into Jeni’s Brambleberry Crisp, it still remains my #1 rated ice cream by Jeni’s. However, had this pint utilized another mix-in, it just might have topped the list. Nonetheless, this is another top-notch pint of ice cream offered by Jeni’s.

Ben & Jerry’s Boom Chocolatta Cookie Core
Now for the mix-ins there are fudge flakes, these are very similar to the nutty pieces in nutty caramel swirl which are very small and remind you of a shattered piece of fudge or chocolate which are incredibly small. I wish Ben & Jerry would increase the density and size of them as well as the cookie pieces which I found to be incredibly small as well. The Chocolate Cookie Core was more of a chocolate core like other people have stated in their reviews as I was expecting something along the lines of the outside of an Oreo and the caramel or mocha to really compliment it like a filling, but that was not the case. Overall it's a decent pint, but I have higher hopes for the PB Core and the Speculoos Core. I think this is going to the the worst of the 3 new Core Series. While I thought the mocha was good because I am a coffee lover, Jeni’s Black Cat Base was light years ahead of this.

Always a great choice from them. I usually cycle between red velvet cake, strawberry cheesecake, cheesecake brownie and the cinnmon bun. Lately I have been trying out whatever new flavor I can find in my area. I have a peanut utter half baked and a strawberry cheesecake at home at the moment. I am still hoping to find the 3 new core flavors but with my stores I doubt that will happen. They never got my favorite pumpkin cheesecake this/last year.

B&J Cheesecake Brownie, love the cheesecake base. Dense and delicious, not to mention that solid ridge of chewy brownie goodness.

Gelato Fiasco Dark Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt
As I’m generally not the biggest fan of caramel as a flavor, I wasn’t expecting much from this flavor, but boy was I wrong. There are no mix-ins involved here, but trust me; this pint definitely did not need any. First off, the dark chocolate base is phenomenal and easily the best dark chocolate base I have tried before. I know this comparing an ice cream to a gelato, but flavor wise it tops Jeni’s Dark Chocolate. The dark chocolate is extremely rich, but not overbearing where you might only eat a little of it at a time. The base was slightly different than the other pints of Gelato Fiasco I have scooped. I thought this one was much thicker & stickier, and also had somewhat of a gritty texture to it that I actually enjoyed. The sea salt caramel certainly acts as an undertone, but it balances the richness of the dark chocolate perfectly. There is a sweet and salty combination in the flavors, but not near as salty as you might expect (like B&J’s Salted Caramel Core). I don’t think it tops PB Stracciatella as my #1 flavor from Gelato Fiasco, but it undoubtedly gave it a run for it’s money. A+
