I think he'll likely win in 2015 and 2016. Beyond that the eightball gets cloudy.
We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

I think it is possible, but not based on his physique, as long as the IFBB think they will make more money by keeping Heath at the top he will be awarded the title. In all fairness Heath does has one genuine title to his name = 2011.
Ronnie Coleman was the last man to unpolitically win more than one title --------> since the Coleman era we have been in the 'political era'
Its not so much about being an athlete these days but more about how much marking power you have.

No one except kai is even close right now.
Who knows what or who the future will be, I mean you look at how quickly heath himself burst on to the scene.
Somewhere out there could be a mid twenties guy with amazing shape willing to tech his balls away to nothing.
Right now however it is the Phil Heath show, like it or not.I Discovered A Meal Between Breakfast And Brunch

I've thought a lot about this. Now I am assuming that most of the tops guys aren’t really that lazy and they do try to win. Especially as the champ, even if they know they are going to get handed the title, I am sure they want to make sure they look their best. All of them have controversial titles, Dorian, Ronnie, Jay, Phil (Dex has never recaptured so technically he suffers the same).... they all have years where they were off (some really off) and I doubt that is because they were lazy and didn’t want to win.
So with saying all that, it will come down IMO, to if Hany can make the right adjustments to Phil next year and so on. IMO, the reason why these guys come in off is because the same cocktail doesn’t work every year. The bodies will and do adapt and when that happens with no adjustments, you get guys that are way off compared to their best. I think competing once a year further hurts as well, because you won’t know in what direction the body is adapting, causing last minute adjustments that may or may not work.
Hany has brought back guys from really bad showing, Ronnie in 02' to 03, Jay in 08' to '09....... Both being in some people’s opinion, their best showing ever. Following that trend, we may see the best Phil ever next year. Just a hypothesis, Phil could be gone as far as anyone knows. Next year could be an even worse showing then this year’s prejudging.
What’s frustrating is everyone’s inner fan is getting the best of them and causing them extreme bias. Instead of hoping that everyone brings it every year, they just bad mouth everyone. Instead of thinking through the situation and all the possibilities of what is going on as well as all the possibilities what the future could hold, they just lose their mind and start posting BS for whatever reason.
Competition is good. Close calls are good. There is no reason to be mad about close decisions just because who you wanted to win didn’t. No one was really on this year. Either the lighting made everyone look really meh, or the lighting exposed just how meh they looked. Either way, not fun. I’d rather see years like 2009 where people look jaw dropping, and not just a few, but a majority look that way. That is what the sport needs. Not the fans fighting and trolling each other, saying stupid **** just because the can. Drawing stupid, skewed diagrams, just because they can.
And before you just dismiss me as a Phil fan.... I am not. I am not a fan of any single guy; I am a fan of them all. I am a fan of the sport in general and have no team.4% shredded with striated!

Honestly, I don't really see anyone beating Heath for the next 2-3 years. If Kai can't beat him this year (and in 2012), then nobody can. Ramy has to pay his dues, Rhoden needs better back and arms, Wolf has started regressing. Cedric is good but waaaaay too much overhyped and approaching 40 years old (needs to pay his dues too).
Realistically I would bet great money that he will win AT LEAST 2 more Olympias. I can't say anything about the next 2, but there is nobody that can knock him out at the moment. Not even close.

I doubt that. Jay lost in 08 after two poor showings in a row. Ronnie nearly lost in 02 and had Jay competed with his 01 package I have no doubt they would have handed him the Sandow.
If Phil does not get back on track and someone actually comes in looking good, you will see him lose. The issue is everyone looked very mediocre this year, by Mr Olyimpia standards.
Id rather look too much into it rather then place blame on something that may or may not even be true. The only people claiming that the system is broken are Kai zealouts. The IFBB favors the Champ.... pretty much always has. No one is debating that. But they also wont protect them if they continually look like ****.4% shredded with striated!

I hope not.
I don't see it happening though and I think if Heath takes another step back as he has since 2011, he could really be on the ropes. I can see him getting 6-7, but there are SO many bbers that could rise by that point, I don't see him retaining the title after that.
Besides, I think even Heath himself has alluded to the fact that he wants to retire young and fresh and not drive himself into the ground like some guys, aka going out like Haney as opposed to Ronnie.

2007 suggests it's true. I think favoring the champ is biased and makes the sport lose credibility, which is why I place blame based on past evidence year after year. I am not a fan of Kai or Phil, I just think that the criteria should be clearly defined and rules strongly enforced (crossing over the line etc).
"The IFBB favors the Champ.... pretty much always has."
Exactly. This is retarded and doesn't mean we should just accept it and act like it's okay. You just clearly admit there is a bias when it comes to judging yet you're making page long posts about who might win? -_-

He has taken many steps back since the 11 Olympia when it was argued that he could compete with Coleman, I don't see that argument being made anymore. His gut was bad, his legs seemed to be smaller and lack the crazy detail he has had in the past and with his frame, these two things play a MAJOR factor to his physique.
Do I think he COULD do it? Absolutely, the judges definitely love him enough to make it happen. Although I don't see Heath continuing on if he feels he's continuing to regress due to the aforementioned reason. I think there are quite a few guys that can push him currently and if there is only 1-2 decent pros to come out per year, then I think the pool becomes increasingly large.
Heath is beatable, it'll come down to if he can regain his form, what his long term plans are and who else is in the show. I think 5 more is really pushing it, for both Heath and the judges.

I dont disagree. They do need to pull it together. But since this is more of a business then a sport, getting that will be hard.
and you only quoted the first half of what I said.... "But they also wont protect them if they continually look like ****"
Clearly the champ has been ursuped in previous competitions, so clearly it can happen in the future. Stop focusing on tiny details and look at the entirty of whats going on and what has gone on in the past.4% shredded with striated!

I'm looking at the IFBB as an entirety and how they've proven to be a complete joke competition after competition. Why get my hopes up that Phil might be dethroned when law of probability is in his favor and we've seen that the past 4 years? I would rather continue to discredit the IFBB so that eventually a change will be made instead of ignoring the fact that there's a problem and just hoping the best man wins every year only to be disappointed.

It all depends on if any other competitor lives up to his potential
Hypothetically Kai could come in 100%.
Hypothetically Beyeke could put on a bit more mass on his frame over the next few years and come in 100%
hypothetically Cedric could come in 100%
Hypothetically Rhoden could improve his back still(as he has every year) and come in 100% in two years
Hypothetically there could be up and comers who put more mass on their frames and come in 100% in the next few years (Kuclo, Compton, Morel, etc)
Hypothetically Ramy
Hypothetically Levrone could make a comeback
All of those don't seem likely currently so i'd say Phil has at the very least 6MS, Computer Science
