Carbs + Protein Post intense cardio?

After an intense cardio session (2 hrs) of say... swimming, running, or biking. Is it ideal to ingest carbs in addition to protein? What are some good carbohydrate powers if this is the case? What are some good foods if this is the case?

Assuming you have a balanced diet and supplement with protein & carbs to aid in hitting macros due to time + convenience restrains.

Unless you are planning on another training session later in the day, its not necessary that you add carbs. Unless, its convenient for you. I'd just eat something instead of buying a carb powder.

As I said, it would be convenient for me to use powder. However, I would only train 2x/day once a week

Could you not bring a bagel, banana, dried fruit, granola, trail mix etc as easy carbs with you in a bag? WOuld save you tons of money and be far more nutritional.

^ agreed food source would be way more filling and better per cost then relying on powders

Food is always my first choice but when I need something quick I'll use Waxybolic, works out well, mixes well and can be very convenient.
