    The Lean Lyfe of Bran, the Former Fatty

    Hey all. I have another log but i didnt like the title. So im going to be starting another one, mostly to safeguard my nutrition/calorie information/weight for the future.

    Quick bit of info about me -
    Im 22 years old, 5'6'' @ 147LBs on this date. I started my fitness journey at 218 LBs about 6 years ago. Today marks my 1 year anniversery of starting flexible dieting and learning nutrition. Before this time LAST year, i was starvation dieting at 600-1300 calories daily and binge eating all weekend long. Because of this terrible habit i created a Binge Eating Disorder that i have still been suffering with to this date. I currently havent binged in probally about 6 weeks. Im taking one day at a time. Reading books and educating myself on how to create a better relationship with food. I hope i can inspire some of you guys and preach to not diet and expect short term goals. This is a lifestyle. And this is my new life. Thanks for checking in.

    ~Idk why i stopped logging but cliff to that bulk was i went from 155Lb to 172Lbs from October to the end of Feb. I deff goofed on that bulk and didnt take it slow and steady. I gained a ton of unnecessary fat, but starting at the end of Feb i began cutting again. And managed to cut to 151LB by the beginning of June. I maintained for a little but but gained some weight again but decided i really wanted to get shredded before i bulk again. This time i will be bulking CORRECTLY and SLOWLY. Once i finish this cut of course. Then i will take you all through my RD and lean bulk.
    ~I started this diet at 157Lb towards the end of July. Currently 147Lb. Goal - 140Lb

    Heaviest Weight
    218

    Current Weight

    Current cutting macros
    1950 calories - 60f/200c/150p
    Morning Weight - 148.8

    To celebrate my 1 year of flexible dieting and allowing myself to eat my favorite foods in moderation i had to go with Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Pie donut this morning. Was very good, not worth the calories tho imo.
    ~380cal.

    It was pretty amazing dude. I was disappointed at the lack of pumpkin flavor in the filling tho. it was really dull and gummy/airy tasting. Nothing like a boston cream. But i had to try it. Since pumpkin came out at Dunkin this year i been drooling every single i day i walk in there to get my coffee lol. Finally got that out of the way. Im going for the muffin next. That i know for a fact is one of my fav thing Dunkin sells. Thanks for subbin!

    i Wish there was a KK around here man but theres not. I have to go to DD anyways everyday because im the coffee bish. i get coffee for usually 2-5 guys and they all HAVE to have DD so thats that mayne. I hate there coffee as well. At least the new dark roast is more doable.

    Despite the fact that I think you have a very good base right now, and should be reversing... I still support you.

    NEW LOW TODAY 146.2

    Going to keep chuggin along this week. Going on a mini vacation on Friday until Monday to our cabin up north. Foliage will be great. Debating on counting macros on Friday. I will be able to go to the gym Friday and Monday. Only 2 days of falling off the wagon a little bit. My biggest thing about going to that camp is i pair it with binge eating. Everytime i go up there i binge, usually its alcohol related. After reading the book "Brain Over Binge" i seriously think im done binging forever. I have the greatest mindset right now and i feel so mentally strong. If i can go up there and break my bad habit of not binging and strengthen those new neurons in my brain this will be huge! i cant wait to come back and report how i did!

    Gonna be a good time man! If you follow me on IG I'll post some pics when I'm up there (when I drive my ATV to find service) we do a lot of quading and offloading . Fires everynight . No service at all at the camp tho. But yes I'm going to be eating sweets a such too. I'm really going to test myself hard this weekend. This is the true test if I really overcame binge eating and can enjoy sweets in small portions without binging. This is also my last vaca of the year before the crazy fall and winter work year.

    It's true. You may not see it yourself, but you have lost a significant amount of overall weight.. and have been in a deficit for such an extended amount of time.. the sooner you get yourself at maintenance (and into a surplus).. the better.

    When's the last time you had blood work done?

    Well i bulked last winter for a couple months . I believe 4. Then cut for a couple months . Then maintain ed. The cut I'm on now has been goin on for 13 weeks so far. I'm figuring another 6 weeks I'll be at my goal. And actually it's been at least 6 years. I haven't got it checked since I lost weight and became healthy . What should I check for ?

    Hmm, I'd suggest going to get some labs done. Just a basic CBC panel, testosterone measurement, cortisol, etc.

    But that's just me, it all depends on how rapid the weight loss and how you FEEL on a day to day basis.

    Back day today
    3 Sets Close Grip Pullup
    5 Sets T-Bar Row (machine, not the cable)
    4 Sets Cable Lat Pulldown
    4 Sets Cable (idk what its called but arms in front of you, using the pulldown bar, for those front lat gainz)
    4 Sets Reverse Fly using Pec Dec Machine

    Accessories -
    4 Sets Incline Dumbbell Curl with wrist curl
    3 Sets Reverse Cable Curl
    3 Sets Cable Curl @ Shoulder level using crossover cables

    Nutrition wise today
    Had a serios urge to binge today when i came home from work.. i overcame it and was very happy and excited with myself. Strongest urge i had in awhile. I was a little mad at how long it took for the urge to clear up (20-40 min). I think the weather had a lot to do with it today. Very gloomy and depressing. Also im way overdue for a refeed. Last "refeed" was when i yoloed in Miami for 3 days on Vaca 3.5 weeks ago. I havent refeeded yet because im going on a mini vacation this weekend to VT. So that will be my refeed. After this vaca i will be refeeding every 15 days.

    ON A NOTE
    I created a journal to log my binge urges (not my binges, because those are gone forever). I logged everything to as the date, location, possible triggers, if i was drinking, cals for the day, days since refeed, etc. I know i have overcame my binge eating. Because i have new strategies that i learned from in a book. But what i accept is that i cannot stop the urges until i create mental strength away from them appearing. I know the deficit doesnt help at all either but.. Im going to log everytime i get an urge. And just look for trends. I will be 4 weeks binge free on Friday. Most of my binges this year have been spread out greatly, i probally binged around 10 times or so this year. Which means im not recovered but i surely have came a long way from when i was extreme dieting and binging hard 3 times a week and purging with exercise for over 2 years. Thanks for reading if you did!

    If you're having such rampant "binge urges" you probably need to step back and re-evaluate all of this.

    Sounds like potential eating disorder issues in the making. Just be safe (and kind to yourself).

    i understand your concert and i appreciate it a lot! i have a goal in mind tho, and i always quit my cuts 5-10 LBS short. i need to finally hit a goal here and lean bulk the right way. yes it sucks right now but i will be much happier than dealing with the stress of always knowing im not lean enough to begin with. i just gotta hit that 140 mark. it will help me a lot. this was the only urge i had since 4 weeks ago. and like i said, it was prob triggered because i havent refeeded in awhile since im saving it for this weeks vaca. thanks man !

    New low this morning - 145.8 - Lightest i could ever remember weighing in my life. And yes i have said that since 200 LBs. But if you were formerly fat you know the feeling of seeing a new low number.

    ~~~Goal~~~
    Once the scale hits 140.whatver , im going to begin my RD the upcoming Sunday. Im guessing through my RD i will finish maybe slightly under 140 total. Thats the goal at least. Going to be RDing at 150 cals a week.
