Caracas, Kingston, Acapulco, Johannesburg and Durban are the worst I've been to. All were way worse than East St Louis and Chicago, which I'd say are more comparable with bad European cities; Rotterdam, Glasgow etc.

There is also the expectations factor. I've been to some sketchy Mexican cities, but you kind of already have your guard up heading there. A lot of the American cities have a strong contrast you wouldn't expect in a developed country.

Guadalupe is the area you're talking about. It's about as sketchy as North Watt ave in Sacramento or maybe Oak Park. Black guys pimpin and slinging dope, drunk bums all over etc.

Yep lol "the guad" plus it was right in the middle of everything else so it was easy to accidentally end up there. Also the speed limit was like 25 the whole way, lots of stop signs and I belive it was technically a reservation so you were hosed if you got pulled over by res cops.
