This
I'm thankful in some ways for the miscs harshness...I have a feeling if it wasnt for this forum I would have never decided to have gotten lean as phuck
peoples standards for most things in life are fukking mediocre...unless your social circle is made up of high achievers you'll be relegated to finding comfort in mediocrity with the vast majority of *******s who only live to get wasted every fridayLast edited by IRBabboon; 09-28-2014 at 06:06 AM.

Thats the beauty of it
you're young but if there is one thing I have learned its that successful people are never satisfied. I lol when people talk about chasing "happiness" for most people the romanticized idea of happiness and fulfillment doesnt exist...same way love doesnt exist either
I am pretty much sitting on a damn near perfect fitness model quality physique (I know...no avi) and alot of days I do think about what I could do to be better but at the end of the day I am glad I have something to show for my time working out

Reactions are always cray when I wear a tank-top lol. All kinds of different reactions, some people giving me too much respect, some girls going out their way to be extra nice/flirty, some people being hostile once they see me. Just a myriad of interactions any time I'm in a t-shirt that I actually appreciate the neutral interactions and less stares I get when I just wear a hoodie/jacket.
But in the misc I'm basically middle of the pack, size-wise. Where-as in real life I'm called Superman/hulk/ muscle-man etc. We all look at people on the misc everyday and it warps one's mind on what is reality. It's extremely rare to see a guy more muscular than me not even to talk aesthetics, gotta realize that anything above 180 depending on your height at about 8-11% bf is in the extreme minority.
Most guys are either skinny, skinny-fat or fat. Then you have the next sub-group who have the 'swimmer's body' but you won't even look like you lift in misc standards but will be considered jacked in real life especially if you have some vascularity.

The misc can be harsh and judgemental and sometimes completely unaware of how real life works, but being here has actually helped me to hold myself to higher standard. The environment can be rough, but it has changed my perception in ways that I think are positive. I always work hard in the gym to look above and beyond average, ambitious at the workplace, disciplined in daily life etc etc

Also the same goes for strength aswell, I remember I thought I would be happy when I can squat 315, then 350, now I hit 400 and I am dieing to get to 500.
I haven't trained at a public gym for a while but it was rare to see someone rep 225 and a cold day in hell when someone repped 315.17

Then why are u here?
Posts like these kinda allow me to draw the, rather obvious, conclusion that threads like these are really about supplicating your own ego. Dudes like u are incredibly transparent.
End of the day anything outside of sustenance and procreation can be deemed worthless in the grand scheme of things. However people are still proud of the athletic accomplishment, their command over an instrument, their possession of a great physique. When the fukk then some ******* nobody with a chitty physique on the misc become arbiter of all that which is relevant?
Considering how many billions americans sink into supplementation, gym memberships and protein shakes I would say that having a great physique is a very worthy achievement. If it wasnt people would never bother complimenting me about it or letting people who dont have a nutrition qualification between them dictate which products or methodologies are best purely because of the way they look. Except they do. There is nothing wrong with the "fitness community" (when the hell was this even a community?) its nothing more than a marketing vehicle made to push products which may or may not be of benefit to the consumer. The fact u care so much about the industry and who within it is natty or otherwise tells me everything I need to know about your insecurity
You're criticizing me for being proud of my physique in a thread where u whine about the "delusions" in perceptions of physique. Either you're trolling or u cant even comprehend your own stupidity

Pretty big difference between contemplating an idea and "being bothered by what others do". Quite honestly - and once again - I do believe a lot of good looking people get depressed over the message that they're "not good yet". And, quite frankly, even though everyone is free to do what they please, I'm only suggesting that there may be other, more productive goals for a young person to invest so much time at.
God, I hope I'm more mature than you when I eventually reach 27 years old. Then again, you do lift heavy things, right? I guess it's all good then... Is this how you pictured being 27? Peace.

Man, why are you so mad? Lol there I am, miscing a little, waiting for my GF to meet me at the coffeshop, and somewhere on the world, a guy's getting mad at me and raging for a thread I created... It's almost surreal. It's fine if you want to "live by the highest standard of weightlifting" or whatever, but some of us just want to look fit, bang a hottie and build a good career while living our lives. Don't be so mad dude.

I actually like misc's overblown standards
That being said I'm actually comfortable with who I am, I also understand that there's always room to improve.
Misc keeps that fresh and challenging because misc standards keeps you striving for god tier in regards to everything.
