How much weight should I expect to loose 14-8% body fat

Just started a cut 1 week ago and currently weigh 205lbs at 14% bodyfat. I'm 6 ft 0.7 and will be dropping down to 8% bodyfat

In your experiences how many lbs/kg do you need to lose to reach this

I'm prepared to hit 185lbs is this target reasonable ?? Lose 20lbs and drop from 13-14 to 8?

    Simple Math

This is simple math that you can do.

    Total Mass Loss

    204 lb - 185 lbs = 19 lbs

    204 Fat Mass At 14%

    204 X 14% = 28.56 lb of fat

185 lb Fat Mass At 8%

    185 X 8% = 14.8 lbs of fat

Total Fat Loss for 185 lb At 8%

    28.56 (204 Fat Mass) - 14.8 (185 lb Fat Mass) = 13.78 lb of Fat Mass Loss

    Total Fat Free Mass/Muscle Loss

    19 lbs (204 lbs to 185 lbs) - 13.78 (185 lb/8% Fat Mass) = 5.22 lb of Fat Free/Muscle Mass Loss

    Percentage Loss

Based on this you scenario you'd lose...

    Total Fat Mass Percentage: 72.5%

    Total Muscle Mass Percentage: 27.5%

    It is doable.

    Body Fat Percentage

Determining body fat percentages is "Iffy" at best.

    Many method are incredibly unreliable.

With that in mind, "How did you determine your body fat percentage is 14%.

Cheers mate. I have practitioner scales and my abs are slightly showing. I have measured a few areas to get the conclusion of 13-14% plus had various people tell me. I tend to only hold the fat around my chest/stomach area

When tenced I have a full 6 pack, last 2 abs to make 8 pack are hidden still. Gathering these factors and the calipers I'm going to rough 14%

So Basically 19lb loss is spot on for my goal?

I've taken my weight on an empty stomach first thing in morning unclothed.

    Practitioner Scales

    They are inaccurate.

    Self Measurement

If you are referring to calipering yourself, that doesn't work.

    Tape Measure and Mirror

These provide better feed back that the scales or self measurement.

Thus, seeing your abs tells the story.

    Losing Fat and Muscle

You going to lose a little muscle along the way.

How much your lose is part science and part art.

If you do it right, you'll lose around 20% muscle and 80% fat.

So, your fat loss/muscle loss estimates are reasonable.

Based on your prediction, you muscle loss would be around 27.5%.

However, if you do things right, most likely you you muscle loss will much less, 20% area.

    Revision Estimate

Most likely, you can decrease your muscle loss while maximizing your fat loss.

That means you should be able to drop 19 lbs by decreasing your body fat 15.2 lbs (80% X 19 lbs) and only losing 3.8 lbs (20% X 19 lbs).

    IF You're At 14%

The revised estimate bring you in at 7.2% body fat.

    Good Luck?

Remember, we all make our own luck...for the most part.
