It is a principle of mine to never mess around with any of my friends serious former relationships. Doesn't matter if it was 5 weeks ago, or 5 years ago. I don't touch the territory that was ever seriously claimed by them. Feelings, emotion and love are a complex thing that encompass more than we'd often like to acknowledge. Anybody talking about beta, etc in this scenario is a fraud and devoid of any real integrity.
