just as i thought, 18k viewers and he's not even playing WoW...donations are still crazy high every hour.

So what the **** is he doing? Just farting around and he gets money from strangers?

I remember i was watching him the other day, he was making $300/hour plus dueling people in WoW for 3k per duel, which averages 5 mins. I think the going rate for gold is $10/10,000..correct me if i'm wrong.

It's crazy how much money this guy makes.

I think recently it's close to 2-3k a day easily, he has the talent to entertain obviously, even if i was given 17k viewers i couldn't maintain it as well as him, so he definitely earns it but i can't help but feel depressed that i have to wake up on monday at 6am to earn $12/hour lol

Well do something about it. I just started streaming 2 weeks ago, its going pretty well. Not quite as good as he is going feel free to check it out.

I can appreciate Sodapoppin and a few other streamers out there though. They've been in the game since Justin.TV which means they have been streaming day in and day out for like 4-5 years easily. They're not just one of these sloots that found out about Twitch a year ago like that KittyPlaysGames bish.

I don't even play video games anymore, but Lirik & Sodapoppin are funny as chit. They have the viewers they have because their streams are entertaining.

Worse is when people donate to girl streams, just b/c they are girls. Some girl streamers who play LoL legit suck at the game, and they get 20k+ donations b/c they decided to put on make up, wear a push up bra, and start streaming after playing the game for a month.

It seems like the secret to getting a load of subscribers is to be super positive, hyperactive and reasonably attractive. PewDiePie's channel is another example.

Mad, butthurt and jelly but kudos to Sodapoppin for making it. He's good at entertaining people and audience legitimately pay him for that, not for just being born as a f*cking female like the epidemic of sloots that swarmed over Twitch recently with the word "Donation" mentioned hundred times in their profile. Celebrities earn far more than $1k a day for the same entertainment and nobody minds, so why doesn't Soda deserve it? If I had thousands of people viewing me I would end up on the cringe hall of fame.

Soda is failing to see the opportunity cost of this time he is spending on WoW. He needs to ask the question of, will this time of raking it in outweigh the likelihood of him going broke in 30-40 years . Answer most likely is absolutely not but he is in charge of that and needs to manipulate his fan base.

People like him, Towellie, Reckful have a fanbase and will carry them wherever they go.

I do lol at the people who will never get this fanbase and stream for the sake of thinking they will.

just look at the top games for twitch and play the one you think you'll be good at, idk about the cam stuff..you can easily find out that info on google if you're committed to this.

+1, i can't think of anything he could be doing to make more money, he's got youtube/social media covered. He's got twitch covered and he's got sponsers covered.

I think if he really wanted, he could cater to different audiences on youtube, like doing a prank channel, i think with time, he could get more subscribers than vitaly.

You guys are assuming he went into all this with some mastermind business plan. Most of these people start their youtube/twitch whatever because they enjoy it and are passionate about it. That's what really gets the views. He can be clever about monetizing it more, but I think it's a push to necessarily say that they're all smart.

i have been awesome for a long time now.... would throw parties in highschool getting 150-200 people a night to show up everywheres i went. became a bathroom attendent at a gentleman's club making anywhere from 70-150 a night on a damn tuesday and thursday night where there were 15 customers tops would show, while some girls would end the night with 10-20 bucks(srs). i became a bartender piling in 1300 a night two nights a week for a short period where highschool and young college kids showing up weekly handing me $20 presents, ffs. i have turned down being on television before. I have a current job offer in las vegas to work for the bellagio and aria hotel to become a club promotor.
