I think his placing was fair. He seems to be a really nice guy and his size and mass are definitely awesome but his physique just has no flow to me. The high lats with the wide quad sweep (the shape of his sweep is a little off as well) and then finishing with peg legs just doesn't look appealing at all to me. He's also got that lat imbalance and somewhat overpowering shoulders/traps from the back (esp. the BDB).

Wolf looked great ! It was a toss up in my opinion. The obvious things that held him back were his lack of muscle shape compared the guys above him, his conditioning was great but his ab genetics aren`t the best. He`s probably the highest placing Olympia competitor in history with calves that bad. One is small and one is torn off the bone. The shape of his arms never helps him and like everyone else said he was flat for his usual standards especially in the chest. His color almost never helps him either. With all that said it still could have gone either way with him and Rhoden because Rhoden could`ve been leaner.

I didn't really like Wolf this year. He really needs to come in full because of his structure (tall and high lats), he doesn't have the luxury of coming in flat. His midsection was a bit bloated, his known calf problem, his right bicep looked weird/flat (maybe torn), asymetries in all over his body. The thing that saved him was his on-point conditioning. Last year he was much better.
I think his placement was fair given his problems.
To be honest I was really disappointed with his showing, last year he did really great and I got hyped that he could improve even more! But maybe he is starting to regress, the asymmetries, flatness, bigger gut are a clear signs of this unfortunately.

You could argue that perhaps he could have placed slightly higher. But 4th isn't bad for Dennis at all.

The champion of Arnold Classic historically is the biggest challenger to the title. Since, obviously Kai is the biggest challenger, Dennis was expected to be in top 3 even top 2 before the competition took place.
He should have been next to Kai, Phil and Shawn first day. Even if he was flat, he was the most shredded and probably the biggest of them all. He deserved to be compared in that first callout. In a way, he was overlooked and I thought he deserved 3 rd but I m still happy that he already accomplished 3 rd place and an AC win in his career. I know he is happy with those achievements tooGrainy hardcore religious slabs of thick dense muscle. So grainy that it hurts your eyes
