Let's just look at them for 4.3439 seconds and see who sticks out the most, call the accountant and marketers to see how potentially profitable each one would be, flip and coin, sleep on it and repeat. On a side note, please stop making jokes explaining how Kai got robbed. It's just feeding the hearts of people who want to rub it in, as that is literally what will give them more joy than anything else over the next year (and very likely longer). "Phix" Heath is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my life. Phil "The Gift" Heath is already sufficient and at least possesses some irony as well. Kai was VERY good but Phil is a different animal. With their genetics it's like trying to get a hippo to beat a prize stallion in a beauty pageant. He's doing great but despite being bigger and possibly having lower body fat and being dryer he still looks lesser if you just glance (which the judges probably do). Just quit bitching.

First time I gave it to Kai. Hit the pose better and improved traps.

I still dont like how too dominant his legs are on side chest. i prefer like a Ronnie or Kevin look on side chest and his abdomen is still a problem for me you know. Apart from that we agree on everything. Side relaxed is also almost a tie but i like the look Phil's legs have from the side.

Phil's legs look awesome in the side relaxed but Kai's hamstrings from the side are insane. I can see how the pose could go either way.

I definitely appreciate all the work that went into this but I think some of your analysis is off. Your placement of gridlines seems to be sloppy at times and always favors Kai. And there is already a decent margin of error in trying to do a 2D analysis of 3D muscle shapes.

I don't want robots judging bodybuilding contests where a physique can be reduced to a set of numbers. There's a lot to be said for the human perspective. You can draw as many lines as you like, but Phil will always have a more pleasing physique than Kai to me. And I think Phil looks a lot more symmetrical in the photos than you give him credit for.

Judges, fans, etc have an extremely finite amount of time to judge the physique in poses. I can tell you with certainty, half of the the things you've drawn here, are not even apart of the subconscious nor conscious evaluation of judges or fans.

What you've done here isn't an objective analyses of set criteria, rather, it is analyses comprised of confirmation bias. You are explaining why your preference was to Kai, and why your eyes were drawn to him.

You've gone to great pains to dress this up as objective analyses, knowing full well that people with lives would not bother to offer a contrary retort of the same length or depth... Yet beyond all of the unnecessary huff & fluff, your post is simply the same as those who would vote for Phil: 'Phil/Kai looked better to ME'.

You've dressed up what is essentially confirmation bias with the guise of objectivity.

Drawing pictures and pointing out specifics in order to appear objective. Your break down of the most muscular points this out best. If somebody with an equal disregard for constructive time management bothered to do the same, they could break it down to be overwhelmingly in favor of Phil.

Basically, your post is subjective confirmation bias just like any other opinion or analyses in bodybuilding. Objectivity really barely exists in this sport.

And please, don't bother posting the judging criteria. lol.

On another note... I think you really should reconsider your priorities. I don't know what you do in life, whether you are a student, employed, unemployed, etc. But I have a very strong feeling that 4 or 5 years from now you will be looking back and wondering what the hell you were thinking when you were making pointless, time consuming posts like this. Either that, or you'll go on to become bodybuilding.com's version of Mayor of Bodybuilding and a well known schmoe in the industry.

I know this is a bodybuilding forum, and we're expected to discuss bodybuilding, but we're also grown adults with lives and there really is no other way of cutting it for somebody who's been around the block: That post was pathetic and a gigantic waste of time.

You could argue for Phil maybe winning some of the poses, but even still Kai has won more by a significant margin, and Phils stomach is atrocious I just dont know how any organisation can give the winning title to an athlete with a stomach like Phils its a complete farce, then again it has been for the past few years.

I also must say Phil had most muscular easy just like Kai had other front poses very easy in my eyes.

Agree with this 100%. Phil wins all the side poses and the MM because his most dominant bodypart - his arms and delts - are heavily emphasized in those poses and are enough to overpower Kai. But that's all Phil really has over Kai. Kai has better legs from every angle, a better midsection, a better back and his arms look better in the FDB because his insane bicep shape & peak really suit that pose.

-Kai is better in every and all aspects
-Kai's arms are better
-Kai's delts are better
-Kai's conditioning is better
-Kai's waist is reminisecent of Brian Buchanan
-Kai's triceps are better than Roelly's
-Kai's biceps destroy the GOAT's

Kai has become better then previous years .

And previous years i mean the last 3 years.

SOOOOOOOOOOO......its safe to say that this year should have really gone to KAI lets be really honest he was better then PHIL, and this was the year he should have gotten the sandow.

PS: I asked a couple of ppl i know irl , to compare KAI and PHILs physique and most of them choose PHILs . When i asked them why they said his shape is better sooo...i thought that was interesting ( my personal opinion on this is that maybe the judges think this way they just propably prefer PHILS type of physique ( like Frank zane said he thinks that a judge chooses the winner on what type of physique that judge prefers , if that makes sense ).

It's not a who makes the best progress Olympia. It's the Mr.Olympia...you judge the physique on the day and whoever is the best wins, not who makes the most/least progress...
