    Protein supplementation preference

Just looking to get some opinions. What is the best protein supplementation choice: whey after workout and Casein at night or blended powder (ex:musclepharm combat powder) all the time?

Just use a blend to fulfill your protein requirement for the day if it's not met by whole food. Do not get confused and complicate your life/schedule anymore than it already is with all this pre, post and before bed stuff.

No real difference at the end of the day, stick with a high quality blend or straight Whey. Main focus should be hitting your protein macros for the day aim for 0.8-1g per lbm
Cellucor, MT, BioX Whey, CL, BPI

Either a blend or straight whey product will get the job done hitting those macros.

Thanks for the input. I've always used a blend of some sort but I wanted to hear what others had to say. Thanks again to responders.

The thing to remember is that supplements are, by definition, something that is added to something that's already there.

For example, whey protein. If you are getting enough protein in your diet, you don't need a protein supplement.

I'd recommend you the basic supplements:

    1. Protein Powder (Don't have to, if you can get to your protein intake through food)
    2. Creatine Monohydrate (Has been researched a lot and there are a lot of studies that have shown that creatine works)
    3. Fish oils (Get at least 2g a day)
    4. Vitamin D
    5. Zink
