Me...KC and the Sunshine Band. Must have been about 10 years old in 75' or 76'. I remember seeing them on Bandstand thinking they were the coolest guys ever...
Tell ya what...according to the 10 year old chics in the neighborhood I had obtained cool guy status overnight...
Here are a couple cuts off the album. Twas very easy as a 10 year old to remember the lyrics in this music...

Still know every word of every song in order.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

I'm open to any suggestions and have a difficult time accepting limitations without an honest effort on my part, you can count on that!

There are always choices, no bad ones, no good ones, only "great" ones,

I remember having this one. Think I bought it from the hippie chick next door neighbor for a quarter in 76' or so.
I carried this around the house as a kid.
Listened to my brother's Kiss albums on it until 78' when we moved and I graduated to something nicer. vvvvvv

My mom worked for a while in the record department of a large store. So I got everything as it came out. First album... may have been a "Best of 1965" compilation. Which she got on sale. I used to get dibs on albums that got brought back to the store. Some parents had a problem with the lyrics on Sgt Pepper as well as other albums of the era.
The first album I bought was the first Doors album, for $2.99... lot of money in 1967. I later traded it for A Hard Days Night, which I traded for a Yardbirds album which I still have.In space, nobody can smell Uranus....

I have a sister three years older who bought lots of pop and rock albums in the '70's, so I rarely had to buy one. I think the first I bought with my own money was a K-Tel album. It was a compilation of hits such as Kung Fu Fighting, Life is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me), Billy Don't Be a Hero, Hooked on a Feeling, etc. That would be 1974.
