I am doing the less is more thing as well, less frequent workouts but higher intensity.
Need to start reducing my deficit soon, really feeling it's impact now.
Weekend was good, had a good lifting session and a cardio session, fixed the birdhouse since I got broken the last storm and mounted it on the railing instead of it free standing. The weight eventually became too high for the pole it was mounted on and it started to bend, should be more secure now.
And made some tall flower boxes, similar to this:
But with ribbed decking boards.
Will take some pics once it's painted and planted n stuff.

Everything dries real fast in those temps (assuming its not like a 528562852% humidity country).
Totally jelly of that weather, we got like 45-50F and mostly cloudy or raining.
In other news, my belt has been made and should arrive soon, hopefully the post doesn't take too long.

May be going on a trip to see these bad boys soon...
They're old british army forts in the thames estuary that were originally built to protect London from nazi air attack in WW2. The nazis used the thames to navigate to London, so they put these in the estuary and kitted them out with anti aircraft weaponry. They were later used by the pirate radio stations in the 1960s, which is also pretty cool. Also, they look pretty bad ass.R.I.P urukhai29, sentinel3, AncientYouth.

Znik...looking good and nice belt!
Jealous of woodworking skills....I posses none.
Also jealous of palm trees.
Does not love fast food. But where's my dessert people at? Isn't there a study somewhere that says I can have that for health?
Taking it easy this week, too. Sort of....skipping conventional gym time for moving dirt around still.
Yesterday was the last of the dirt (about 8 wheelbarrows full) and all 4 yards of sand in place. With the help of my 18 year old son. LOL. I shoveled it in and he moved it over about 50 feet (total guess as I'm spacially inept). Wish we had just 2 more yards but the truck only held 4. Finishing up today with mulch, flowers, beach grass, chairs, etc.....Will post pics when done. But ..it's supposed to rain on Saturday. Boo.
Also, scales suck. TOM this week (sorry TMI) and the scale jumped so high....on Monday I was 183.8 and then on Friday morning I was 186 and on Sunday I was 191!!!!!!!! Seriously?? Last night I hopped on the scale at night...clothed and eaten all day and it was back to 186 but it kills me. So just ignoring it for a while and doing my thing. Evil, evil, evil thing.Kristen

Yep, it's a silly study. I imagine the results would have been vastly different if there was a big variety on the McDonalds food (like fish, salad, ice cream, milkshakes, breakfast menu etc.)
But from what I read it's solely based on eating hamburgers, chips, chicken nuggets and Coca Cola.
Now there is one pretty funny thing that the article and professor totally neglect to mark upon, it is said like 1300 bacteria types died and bacteriodetes became dominant, bacteriodetes is one of the "good" guys and a high number of that is seen in healthy lean people (seems to be a protector against obesity) , while obese people has less of em.
Specifically, microbiota enriched with Firmicutes demonstrated a lower level of functional diversity than Bacteriodetes-dominant microbiota [11]. Hence, obesity, which is associated with the abundance of Firmicutes, leads to an overall decrease in metabolic diversity.Four possible explanations were proposed in response to this directly proportional relationship between gut microbiota and fatty acid absorption. Firstly, microbes stimulate the host’s metabolism, and may increase the bioavailability of fatty acids through modifying bile salt and its production [8]. Secondly, microbes may have direct interactions and impacts on the lipolytic activities in the host [9]. Thirdly, microbes may indirectly affect physiological responses in the host’s gut, resulting in increased absorption [3]. Fourthly, microbes may cause reduction in the rate of fatty acid oxidation, which allows more absorption of fatty acid [3]. Despite the fact that the general process in which Firmicutes promotes fatty acid absorption is known, the specific mechanisms are still being explored.
Yet the professor says:
Professor Spector said: “Microbes get a bad press, but only a few of the millions of species are harmful, and many are crucial to our health.
“What is emerging is that changes in our gut microbe community, or microbiome, are likely to be responsible for much of our obesity epidemic,My story going from obese to fit while battling daily chronic headaches:

Just discovered a delicious 0 calorie snack. Take some chips (plain is best) and smother them in a cayenne pepper based hot sauce until it looks like the great Frito-Lay massacre of 2015. The thermic effect of the cayenne negates the chip calories. Win.
2nd day of 1800 calories. I've gotten rid of the shakes but sometimes my stomach is ravaged by violent hunger pangs. I constantly find myself wondering, "am I goin make it?" Whenever I enter my kitchen I hear Serp whispering in my ear, "Go ahead Hbb, you deserve it."
I'm just going to keep eating my 0 calorie chips and hold strong.
