Only pro I can think of is looking cool.
Cons outweigh the positives
Brb higher insurance
Brb higher risk of injury
Brb know atleast 5 people who drive motorcycles and 3/5 have gotten into minor accidents
Brb if you have a bad accident, it's most likely going to be paralyzed for life or death
Saw an accident before I got home, and the dude that was "on" the motorcycle was under a car srs

For the thrill. Don't care about the 'looking cool' factor. I know the risks, but will still be getting a motorcycle hopefully sometime soon. By next summer. You just have to ride like everybody is retarded imo
I guarantee that guy you saw under the car was riding stupid. How the hell do you end up under a car?Last edited by AndYUKnowThis; 09-18-2014 at 05:08 PM.

On road and off road rider checking in.
Reasons for on road: carving twisty roads, smells of the country's finest back roads (brb honeysuckle is so hnnnng in the spring), freedom, complete control of a vehicle (you think a connection to a sports car is big? ride a motorcycle), and camaraderie. It's a great way to meet people from all walks of life and professions.
Reasons for off road: brb massive hill with huge rocks, tackle it no problem. Sense of pride when winning races (I raced for ~9-10 years), having the ability to do things on a motorcycle that can't be done in a Jeep, truck, etc.
It all comes down to adrenaline for me. Motorcycling gives me a high that I haven't been able to find elsewhere. I don't need to do 150+mph down the highway to have fun. I can have a solid 70-80mph cruise through the twisty backroads on a rocky hill climb on a dirt bike and have the time of my life.Everyone can talk chit on the internet until they encounter a 6'7 framed Dorian Yates barndoor boeing747 turtle back freak of nature who drives over 200+ on the autobahn

ive been thinking about getting one after I get a car but fuk it just seems so dangerous. would be fun to ride on an empty highway across the country but obviously that is not even possible. I think traffic just adds too much danger and makes it almost more of a chore than an enjoyable ride. to some it may make it better cuz danger = adrenaline but im not too big of an adrenaline junkie.
ive fallen off a bicycle or nearly hit cars so many times. many werent even my fault or theirs really, sometimes sh!t just happens. I cant imagine how bad it would be to crash on a bike going highway speed.Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.
