Haha, yeah that's definitely not a pretty sight. Point still stands that his hairline was probably not receding when he was at college (when he first started shaving his head, though it was on and off for a few years). It's generally agreed that he did it because he wanted to be like his dad, who he emulated in a lot of other ways too.

I didn't realize he shaved it in college, I don't think I've ever seen a picture of him at UNC with a shaved head. I always thought he did it after his first several years in the NBA.
