I fully agree with you on that, now take a second to look at the pictures of this thing. It would be a great conditioning tool.

As would a plain old wheel barrow loaded with cinder blocks, bricks, or whatever.

    Cost = $0 to $50.

This. Not saying that thing doesn't work. It just doesn't provide 300 dollars worth of anything.

Is no one noticing that each side swivels and is loaded independently? That thing would be a mother to control, especially if you slalomed around cones. And far as loading up a wheelbarrow, it would have to be pure concrete to the rim, because Ive loaded up wheelbarrows full of anything I can think of, and I can run that all day.

A "mother to control" doesn't amount to much more than wasted energy for someone looking to get bigger/stronger. Same deal with running a "slalom around cones." It does sound pretty trendy though, kind of like crossfit.

Hats off to you if you can run around with a wheel barrow loaded with concrete.

"I'll Rest When I'm Dead" If you tried to hang with me in any area physically, you would be resting pretty good! A far as calling me a "trendy crossfitter", I take pretty great offense to that. And have you seen my gym dipsh!t, does it look like a crossfit gym? No, not one bit. All I wanted to know was if anyone knew who made and sells this piece of equipment.

    Damn?

    Roid rage?

    I'll hang with you.

Beer chugging contest on three, two, one......

I could take a regular wheel barrow , ditch the bucket, add a couple of pipes over the handles and bolt loading pins to the frame and duplicate that thing for under a hundred bucks.

No, not roid rage, I just eat alot of hot sauce! And there is no way to convert a wheel barrow into this thing. Each side moves iso-laterally. It would be cheaper, easier and safer to buy a welder and all the materials, and build it from scratch than attempt to make it out of a wheel barrow. I did the conversion of a wheel barrow, and even though its better than having the bucket, its still not as good as a real, heavy duty one. And this thing is even better than that. Ill post pics of mine, and pics from the ad.

One thing people have to understand, is that my gym is not just for me only. Its how I make my money, so I have to be bringing in new things. I also like to stay ahead of, or have things that no one in my little town has. Ive done a pretty good job of that so far based on the equipment that I have. So for anyone to associate me at all with crossfit because Im on the lookout for new equipment, its like swatting a Hornets nest.

And far as the beer chugging contest, if Im gonna fight a losing battle, it might as well be that one!

Now please, someone, who makes this piece of equipment!!!

Get over yourself. No small wonder why "personal trainers" have such a ****ty rep on this forum.

Can you kindly load a wheelbarrow with iron plates (I'm sure you thought of that) and post a video of you running it all day?

Such a sight would be truly inspirational.

Why do you think this is as good as a prowler or farmer's carries? Why do you believe new and shiny things will give you a competitive edge? The market is demanding effective, not shiny. More people are squatting than ever before, and these same people know that C2 rowers, Airdynes, and Prowlers are the best conditioning tools available.

^ There is the answer - but is there a reason that farmers carries or even a hex-bar walk isn't going to achieve what you're looking for? I got a new hex-bar for less than $120 delivered and I'm not sure what that wheeled thing will do that I can't already accomplish for far less money.

~Edit~ Okay, I think what everybody really wants is a video of that thing in action. I'm certain I'd never buy one, but I'd love to see how it works any differently than other more common products.

I do those things also, and I certainly don't think it's better than sled sprints. Sled sprints are the most nightmarish exercise I know of. I live in a small town (about 45,000 people) with two crossfit gyms, a pretty big health club and a couple other gyms. About 90 percent of my clients are women, and it's not like they're all crazy hardcore. I have to keep bringing in and offering new things. It's just the way it is. If I just wanted to be hardcore, I can pretty much say good bye to my gym, and I'm not gonna do that. I was after that in the beginning, but this town is not big enough to support it. Right now I'm right in between crossfit and the health club as far as what I offer. I've been getting busier and busier, so I'm gonna continue doing what I've been doing. And part of that is bringing in new stuff.

I get that and with that preface it might make sense to get the piece of equipment this thread is about. But at that point is becomes more of a marketing stuff to housewives than equipment question.

That's OK. Plenty of housewives read this forum.

It actually makes a huge difference. I mentioned this in a thread about a month ago. Sometimes when I'm moving bags of soil and mulch around my yard I'll let half the air out of the wheelbarrow tires for the workout. Pushing a 120 lb wheelbarrow up a hill with half-inflated tires is not easy.

I think you'll end up like the seller and put this piece back on Craigslist after the novelty wears off. But California is one of the few places where you might be able to resell it. I'd probably have to leave it by the curb.

Imho, constantly bringing in novelty equipment is going to be a losing battle. And this sort of interest is usually short lived. I think creating some sort of social environment would be a more sustainable strategy. I think a large part of the success of Crossfit is the social nature of it. I think that's also a reason for the success of group exercise. Do you have a group program of some sort?

LOL! ...sadly that might actually be a big hit. A friend does an open house at the beginning of each new session. The open house is free and has mini sessions of her group fitness and spin classes followed by an open gym. She has a barbecue during the open gym time during the summer. New people show up since it's free and people bring their friends. Those friends bring their friends later, etc. There's no pizza night during the regular session but it's a very social atmosphere in the group classes. A large part of her success is that's she's really good at what she does...much better than anyone else in the area imho. But the group classes help to feed her personal training program.

I wouldn't pay $350 for that thing.......actually, I probably wouldn't buy it at all.....but it does look interesting. I'm wondering if it could double for some landmine exercises. I can see how that thing would be useful for some people. I'm not totally sold that it would do a lot more for you than a typical sled or prowler type piece of equipment.
