Sure if you want to fluff it up and ignore the actual reality of what happened. Look at the photos, its multiple lash wounds that drew blood, he beat his child plain and simple. Now is it morally wrong to whip your child as a form of discipline? Yes it is, really that should be a no brainer.

Agreed with this. He probably hurt the kid more than he intended. He's pretty dumb, but not dumb enough to do something like that on purpose when you have so much going for you. Then again, it's hard to dissect athletes minds, as a good amount of them don't think very logically.

Lucky for him, he's a big enough figure that he might get out of this with nothing more than a few scratches.
