Just out of curiosity. I have yet to be at my franchise after 5 weeks, and wonder if this is the norm.

In 15 years working in various facilities and independently I have never been drug tested. Is that normal policy where you live?

Can't you ask the other PTs at your gym if it's common practice in your place? I've never had it nor heard of it, but perhaps they've had some problems at your gym and now implement random tests?Originally Posted by soon2b3olympic

Nope I'm just curious, first time working at a commercial gym. None of my prior jobs tested and I always assumed it'd be more of a prevalent thing in an industry like this.

No, that would be illegal in Australia.
They can only test us if our work involves firearms or heavy machinery. Cops, Army, crane drivers, etc.
