    1970 Raw Total in Sleeves

    Hey Guys, wanted to post my 1970 Raw total from RPS Raw Dawg Nationals. Weighed in at 293lbs. Had a shot at 2000, but came up a little bit short. Still very pleased with my lifts. 105lbs on the total since my last meet March 1. Been working with Casey Williams following a 10/20/Life based program for my training. It has been a huge help. Anyways, here it is:

    Powerlifter - 700/570/700 Raw in sleeves / belt -- 503.47 Wilks. 3x NQ NPC SHW Bodybuilder.

    Thanks dude. And yeah that's my friend Nick's (spotting me on bench) girlfriend. She videoed everybody's lifts that day (like 6 people) so I got nothing but gratitude for her help that day.

    With your bench it looks like the bar is never resting with a full pause. Is it just me or is this something you noticed?

    Thanks guys, appreciate it. To those who are questioning the technique on some of my lifts: I COMPLETELY AGREE. After the meet I joked "Well if they had an award for ugliest lifts I would have won that." I've recently changed the technique on my bench and squat. Bench I now descend quicker, and I allow my chest to help stop the bar by contacting it. This saves me a lot of energy on the negative phase of the lift. Control could be better. No arguments there. Squat I just switched bar positions, and am having some balance issues. I got way forward on my 3rd squat. Deadlifts I've been struggling with a "scoop" in my technique, and I still haven't completely sorted it out yet. My first impression on my 700 pull was f*ck I hitched that. Got 3 whites though. I respect RPS as a federation, and I got 3 whites on all my lifts that passed. With that said, I'm going to chalk those up as PRs in my book. From a personal standpoint, I'd like my top end lifts to look cleaner, and will be working on my technique to iron that out. I appreciate the feedback guys, pointing out flaws / weaknesses helps me improve more than patting me on the back.
