Say you're living the CEO 10k per day lifestyle. No, even better than that. Your approximate spending budget is $12million US per year (and will adjust for inflation), and you didn't really have to work if you didn't want to. Given the opportunity to set roots down anywhere in the world, what city would you pick?
I'd imagine some of the more popular choices we'd see are going to be Paris, New York, Miami, maybe somewhere in Hawaii. Probably my choice as well: Tokyo, Japan
I know there's something to say about picking somewhere relatively inexpensive and using your money to help out the community, but I'm a largely selfish person and would live it up as best I could. I'd honestly want to settle in Tokyo. The food and the culture alone are huge draws for me. Love all types of Japanese food, even the street vendor stuff, plus I'd get to travel on the best public transit systems and go visit some of the best sushi places. Plus I'm a big ol' manga/anime geek, so it'll be heaven if I can eventually learn to speak Japanese. Now, this all isn't to say I won't take care of my family, because my pops will have all his chit taken care of. I know he'd want to visit me often. And my little brother would probably want to move in with me, lol. He's basically like me personality and food-wise.
How about the rest of you guys?

I'd buy a small tropical island just far enough away from civilization that I would only see other people when needed, and I'd use the money to build the most kickass tropical island mansion ever.

I'd build a compound in the Las Vegas desert.
Gym, shooting range, commercial kitchen, theatre, drilled well.
What more could a man want?

I think I would buy my own private island and a few vacation homes in other areas that I would travel to a lot or stay for an extended period of time. The vacation homes don't have to be grand, it could very well just be a condo somewhere but I would spend the majority of my time in my mansion on my island.
