PAC 12 looking real strong. If not for the SEC bias they should get at least two teams into the playoffs.
EDIT. I forget oklahoma is in college football since no one talks about them. They should be the 4th

It's been going on for a while now. The aura of the SEC still exists because of the title run (which in itself is one of the best feats in college football history) but IMO, the Pac 12 is the best conference in college football right now. People forget, the SEC title run mainly included wins by Florida (2) and Alabama (3, one in a game you can argue they should not have had 2 sec west teams in it) with the other 2 coming by LSU and Auburn. The SEC East has hardly had much success after Florida's win in the title game and most of the SEC has been leaning on the recent success of Alabama.
The SEC prides itself on playing defense but as of late, that has not been the case, even last year a lot of SEC games were shootouts. Teams like Oregon and Oklahoma have what it takes to put up big yards and many points on the best that the SEC has to offer. I can still see why people view the SEC as the best, the title run they had was just that amazing and statistics don't lie either, they have sent the most players to the NFL but as of right now the Pac 12 is the best conference in college football. With the playoff around, the SEC will get the best that all of the conferences have to offer and I doubt they will win the title for years to come.

Oregon is the only one that has an arguement. Ucla looked like garbage last week and usc was outplayed in their win today.
Sec has bama, auburn, a&m, and georgia in the discussion.
Pac 12 will have one team in the playoffs because the B1G is embarressing itself.**Arkansas Razorbacks**

You have a serious problem differentiating between perception and reality. You can continue to look at defense as a weakness for the SEC currently, but your ignorance will continue to spite you.
The SEC no longer prides itself on defense, they pride themselves on winning games. Look at the offensive stats per game since 2011
good luck with Playoff 2014.

Alright SEC fans, it's time to stop living in the past and start living in the now (though I understand people from your neck of the woods have a very difficult time doing that). I never undermined the SEC's title run, I am just going by what is the case now and the Pac 12 is superior to the SEC.
Georgia had a win against a Clemson team that has lost its two most electrifying players and lots of talent on defense, even then, they came alive in the 2nd half only based on the run game and not the play of the QB. Brag when you have a legitimate season and actually do something important in the SEC.
Auburn, I'll give you that.
Bama, LOL! That team is done, you let an unranked WV team outplay you on offense and barring that one drop from the FB in the endzone that game could have easily been an upset. Defense is also a joke, Auburn ran for around 300 on you while Trevor Knight roasted your entire secondary (inb4 excuses, "oh it was only a consolation game").
A&M is looking legit so I'll give you that.
For pac 12:
USC
Oregon (obviously)
Stanford (still a physical team)
USC and Oregon judging by the way they played today can beat any SEC team (except for maybe A&M which I am uncertain about) by double digits, you have to be denial if you don't believe that. I won't be surprised if 5 years from now when the SEC hasn't won **** the entire SEC fanbase still considers them the best conference in college football based on the national title streak.

In the recent years, only Alabama has carried the torch for the SEC. Seeing as to how divided the forum is on the issue and how SEC homers just love to hold on to things that happened years ago, I'll give it this way, it is no longer the case in college football when the best team in the SEC can be considered the best team in the country. This whole belief that teams like Oregon or USC would get blown out if they played in the SEC while Mizzou and A&M have done well (despite being from the big 12) is asinine. You SEC fans can beat your chest over being the best conference all you want but the days of the SEC dominating the national title are over. Florida St was just a start, it's going to be a while since an SEC team wins the title game, that streak is history.
I still believe Pac 12 > SEC as of right now in this given moment.

Lets see:
1. A win against an awful Wisconsin offense
2. A win against a Wisconsin team with terrible coaching that didn't even let Melvin Gordon have the ball in the 2nd half
3. Terrible offense
4. Defense that looked hideous against Wisconsin most of the game
That's wisconsin btw, a team like Michigan St would have hammered LSU. GTFO, the only team that was holding the torch for the SEC was Bama and they are done. Title streak is over.

btw how was Bama vs WV a "complete demolition"?
Kenny Hill must have really laid the hammer down on the state of South Carolina because now most of the gamecock fans are being delusional about everything.
Yes, Spurrier has gone an outstanding job the gamecocks, they did have a few of those those national title wins in the SEC's title run. Gamecocks fan have so much to be proud of, afterall it is the gamecocks that won most of the titles in the SEC's 7 yr title run.
