What better way to remember her than her own words.... a few samples
I’m not saying she’s easy, but she’s been in so many motel rooms her nickname is ‘Gideon.’
My daughter and I are very close, we speak every single day and I call her every day and I say the same thing, “Pick up, I know you’re there.”
I was born in 1962… and the room next to me was 1963.
The fashion magazines are suggesting that women wear clothes that are ‘age appropriate’ … for me that would be a shroud.
I was getting dressed and a peeping Tom looked in the window, took a look and pulled down the shade.
You make the beds, you wash the dishes and six months later you have to start all over again.
At my age an affair of the heart is a bypass!
RIP Ms Rivers, Just realized Heaven is in for a treat- Robin Williams and Joan RiversI'm open to any suggestions and have a difficult time accepting limitations without an honest effort on my part, you can count on that!
"iCan, iWill, iHave"
There are always choices, no bad ones, no good ones, only "great" ones,
"Oh, great!" :)

She could be very vulgar at times, but she was honest and open and also very funny. She downplayed her "pioneer" role in Hollywood, but all the same she did a lot for female comedians to follow in her footsteps. R.I.P. ...and don't be surprised when the vultures come out.

Oh no. That's so sad. She was so funny! I thought she'd last forever!

Loved her sense of humor. One of my favorite lines from her (below)
I blame my mother for my poor sex life. All she told me was 'the man goes on top and the woman underneath.' For three years my husband and I slept in bunk beds.I'm a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it. ~ Thomas Jefferson

Vulgar, yes, but in much the same way as Don Rickles. It was a trademark, not a flaw. It was "her" own thing, long before anyone could use any "swear words" on TV. This lady rocked the nation with her raw humor, and 99% of Americans "got" her. She was Eddie Murphy, Raw.... before Eddie Murphy was existed, but just in a female shell. She was damned sure, a pioneer in her role in Hollywood. A lady who pretended to have no class, but was one classy lady.
And no, I really don't see any vultures coming out. To be "trashed" by Rivers, was to "be somebody." In other words, a privilege.

I hear you, and I agree. Seeing someone as being 'vulgar' is largely a matter of interpretation. She did a lot for the profession, and in return, it did a lot for her. When I say "vultures" I mean detractors/haters/naysayers (use any word you like...but you already knew that). There's always someone, somewhere.
And yes, to be trashed by Rivers or Rickles was considered to be the highest honor another celebrity--or just a member of the audience--could receive."Don't call me Miss Kitty. Just...don't."--Catnip. Check out the Catnip Trilogy on Amazon.com

The Proposal??? I just checked the IMDB on that and I gotta say:
What the flying fuk, man?!?!
You're not going through male menopause are you? Were you being forced to watch it cuz u lost a bet???
Regardless, the only acceptable course of action here is a Sylvester Stallone movie marathon weekend. We gotta up the "T", brother!
