Blender Bottle vs. Smart Shake

I love Blender Bottle because of the blender ball & that it's leakproof.

I got a free shaker with my order and it was Smart Shake. It works really well and want to know what board thinks about either.


Any preferences?

I hate agitators and the extra air it adds to shakes, I never use agitator of any kind so to me anything works.

Sometimes the powder doesn't mix well. I had this problem with Pro JYM.

I've got both. The Smartshake seems to work well enough, but I've noticed sometimes powder clumps around the plastic filter. I'd take the Blender Bottle over it, that whisk ball is fantastic.

I've got the spider shaker. Two compartments one for protein the other for tablets. However I take the splitter out the tablet compartment and store my Vitargo s2 in there.

I personally prefer the Blender Ball as well. I have a few of the new iForce shakers (they are sweet looking, all black with silver writing) and I ditched some of my old Blender Bottles and just kept the Blender Ball (the wisk) and put that in my iForce shakers. Makes them simply incredible.

Sometimes the powder doesn't mix well. I had this problem with Pro JYM.

I have had many dozens of proteins, and multiple kinds of very thick mixing proteins not ever had this happen.

Add liquid first adding powder after, and I shake it using both hands never had a problem.

Just get a well-made, nice looking, 20-24 oz, food safe, bpa free shaker cup with a lid and a comfortable drinking spout... End of story.

I like the smart shaker cause obviously from the storage but one cracked near the mouth piece. It still works but air bubbles come from that crack.

However the first blender bottle I got, about 4 years ago is still intact and being used. Just some discoloration.

I prefer the spider shaker myself, but out of the two definitely blender ball, but they can be annoying when carrying around empty. The spider shaker doesnt have this problem.

From a quality standpoint, Blender Bottle is better than Smart Shake. Better machining tolerances and higher quality plastics are used. The Smart Shake will break easier. The Blender Bottle Prostak uses the same kind of storage containers as the Smart Shake. If you have the chance to compare side by side, the Blender Bottle storage cups attach better and don't feel flimsy.

Spider Bottles are really nice too, but you have to watch out for gunk collecting in the lid where the pop-up hinge is. It's a design flaw that is a pain in the butt to clean.

Prefer the construction of the Blender Bottle over the Smart Shake. The plastic is better and the lid to open/close works a lot better on a BB than a SS.

However, I think the SS looks better, especially when you've got the Jay Cutler edition.

Spider Bottle is the reigning champ for quality and durability, and the whisker/strainer thing, and the cups. They made a perfect product by borrowing the best qualities of Blender and SmartShake bottles.

Blender bottle. My spider shaker leaks around the rim WASTE of $ but smart shaker is good just clumps around Screen rim. I have a few blender bottles 2-4 years of and going strong.
