I feel the same way. I'll never miss the O, but I'm no longer watching to see who wins/loses. Just going to sick back and watch some amazing physiques.
The judges have f*cked up too many times now. It's so obvious that it's not about the best bodybuilder anymore. It's about sponsorship, corrupt judging and who owes who a favour.Bench: 215x12 (17/12/2011) PR since torn RC

I can't log in much these days but still appreciate my one chance of the year to share this hobby with the like-minded online around Olympia time, so I'm wondering...where are all the Team threads this year?? Team Kai, Team Phil etc?
Anyway, if Phil wins I hope he's the best guy onstage, I hope Kai is the best he's ever been (and wins!), and I hope Ramy really brings it (Top 3!). Would also love to see Roelly do well, and Alina Popa win Ms O.
Good luck to all the competitors!

Hope you realize how little sense your post makes. I agree there hasn't been a lot of hype this year, but the fact that there is more money in the competition means more ppl are willing to pay money. The expo seems to grow all the time with tons of ppl. So there should be a lot of excitement.
Like you said, there are lots of events, but they aren't taking place at the same time as the men's bodybuilding, so there's no substitution going on. If anything, I'd just say it's been a big lack of marketing this year.

No it isnt. You supported kuclo beating beyeke that one competition this year when everybody unanimously said that was bs. EVERYBODY on the forum, all the spokesmen, all the pros, everybody. So you think the judging is fair when the vast majority disagrees. You're welcome to disagree(or agree with whatever the judge says, however you want to phrase it) but when this is a purely subjective event and you're in the minuscule minority, you're wrong. But hey the judges thought that and the judges can do no wrong right? The judging has been consistently bad for over a decade now, if not worse now. It was not worse a few years ago.

There is more money in the comp due to sponsors pumping ****eloads...doesn't mean the 'product' is getting any better. Stating that the epo is growing all the time ergo there should be more excitement means **** all in context of the competition itself-goes back to the fact it's become a cash cow and no longer focused on what the Olympia is all about, men's bodybuilding. Olympia should be about the main event, not bikini, board short wearers or your wank bank material.
Whilst there is no substitution per se of the bodybuilding the fact we have to sit through tons of guff before we see the actual men's comp on the stream is a right pain in the ass.''There’s this battle over waterboarding at places like Guantanamo Bay. I think that they should just say, “Hey, if you guys don’t talk, you have to see Hercules In New York.” I guarantee those guys would talk much faster. You don’t need to do waterboarding or anything else. That’s the ultimate threat.''
