People play differently and different amounts of money, with different goals so its something you have to be comfortable with and master. Typically run a lineup for h2h/50/50s and then 3 max different lineups for GPP. Sometimes ill throw my h2h lineup in GPP in case i hit big (but usually dont invest as much money). You gotta look at your options tho. If you have a lineup you love for h2h and its mostly 1pm games would it be more effective to tweak it so you can run a 1pm only h2h lineup? If i like what I see thursday, i will play thursday games before all the rotoheads get their writeups and reviews to make their lineups.
gpps can build a bankroll quick. 50/50s should steadily grow it as should head to heads.

Also interested in how others typically breakdown their number of lineups/contests/types on a weekly basis. Played DK for the first time last week, and ended up breaking even with 9 different lineups and 20 different contests. Tried to spread it out a lot since it was my first week and I was just trying to get exposure, but 9 lineups seemed a little tedious. Do you guys mostly make 1 or 2 50/50 lineups and a couple GPPs or are you also making 10+ per week with different combinations? Also, is there any point in playing both H2Hs and 50/50s or should I just pick one and stick with it?
Thanks. Will rep for some insight.

biggest difference between this last year when i was miserable at nfl and this year is i have taken the kicker and defense categories much more seriously. Can be an easy 20 point swing in your score if you hit on kicker and defense. Playing NBA made me realize every position is important and you want to be hitting on everything. On fanduel you have to buy a kicker and defense so you might as well pay up for ones you like. You have to pay atleast 4500 and chances are they are gonna suck (minus robbie gould kicker). at 4500 you want at least 9 points, closer to 12. But at 4500 you are typically looking at **** defenses thatll score 5. For 1k more you can get a top rated defense. 5500 should be at least 11, hopefully 15+ but youre looking at a much higher floor and ceiling for just 1k more, which is a better ROI.

for those asking about what others do.
i usually enter a fck ton of 50/50s and then take around 20% of that number and enter H2Hs.
then i will go on to enter 5 different GPP lineups.
i started out making 2 lineups for 50/50s, and would use a core group for both lineups, but i got tired of one lineup cashing and the other not.
so last week i took ONE lineup and entered it in a alot of 50/50s. then entered 30% H2H as my way of at least winning something if my lineup doesnt cash in 50/50s. one thing about H2Hs is that barring a SUPER sht week you should be able to win at least some of them at least. doesnt help much but for me it's nice to have the moral victory or whatever lol
but thats just how my lineups fall. having 2 lineups, one that scores 135 and another that scores 112 and doesnt cash is gay as hell. although I preferred to do this during my first couple weeks while i was getting my bearings. breaking even was fine then***Gender Non-Committed***

i personally find my best chance of profiting is large leagues. 100-250 players, either sunday only or just the early games ( atleast on fanduel). top 12-15% pay out i think, and most people are either tater tots/or they run real high risk lineups like its a large tourney, imo. so i do 2-3 lineups and enter a few with each. if one hits well it doesnt equate to a push, its usually a relatively substantial win.
tourney's if you were to put together a better than solid LU you might hit decent money, but there is always the top .5% who put together ridiculous LU's... and thats usually were the real money is.
just my take.

I think the defense lock of this week is Houston. They're up against Pittsburgh and they struggled scoring against the browns. Also Matt Ryan is looking like a good pick vs the ravens. What do you guys think?
Also torn between randle and ODB. Not sure which to lean towards more. Maybe donnell will come back to life?

I'm big on Antonio and the PIT offense (mainly AB, Lev, Wheaton) this week. Also, to those of you planning on playing Dez, keep an eye on DRC's status. If he plays, you may wanna back off a bit as he's the real deal and I doubt Dallas will force Dez the ball the way they've been running the football. Just saying, even as the biggest Dez homer here, this could be a trap.

Not saying it's not possible for Dez to have a great game vs. DRC (aside from Dez's game vs. him last season, Megatron and Julio have both had great games vs. DRC this season). Just saying that the likelihood of it happening is probably not great. Plus you have to take into account that a lot of uninformed players will be thinking "NYG vs. DAL OMGZZZ THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE A 40-38 SHOOTOUT ALL OF THE DEZ!!!1!!1" so he may be a bit over owned. I like Demaryius, Antonio, Jordy and Julio more than Dez at the top-tier of WRs this week.

i dont know the hard numbers, but it feels like i experience more success against H2Hs. outside of one week where i faced a lot of people who scored above 110. of my matches have been against people who score in the 70s, 80s, 90s, which is awesome because i am always good for a 100 score, which isnt enough to cash in 50/50s. this question is prompting me to look at the history of my H2Hs. i may have to do that today.
after my analysis, it could prompt me to enter a fck ton of H2Hs. i dunno though. vets please talk me off the ledge if this isnt advisable.
i like matt ryan alot. i am worried about the Oline though. he is a great play with a less than average Oline, but my god man. I have lowered his floor in my mind. the offense isnt as open as it once was, it just feels very tight. and I'm worried about Roddy aging before our eyes. i still have hope that he will develop his old man game because i just dont think he has what it takes to get separation like he used to.
ohhhh yeah. i am rostering forsett and not even thinking twice. i need to check is price on FD though. it's probably higher than i expect, but still worth it
.25 entries? how do you handle them? do you join those also? i assume there are a shtload of them
since i only do 1 cash lineup on FD, im thinking of running 1 cash lineup on DK as well. instead of 2 lineups on one site.***Gender Non-Committed***
