today i started with a nice few mile walk when i finally got out of bed. going to do some cardio then maybe some disc golf after. i missed breakfast but had an early lunch. grilled chicken. green beans and mashed squash. yesterday was the first time i had squash. its better then mashed potatoes and thats with just pepper and i cant believe its not butter!
i plan on not screwing up this weekend. and preparing for all pros heavy day on monday. i have done all pros for 2 weeks but wasnt doing it right. with how the sets go. but now i reread it and understand plus now im use to the weights and have a good starting point.
ive done really good this week and expect it to show monday on the scale. ill be happy with any loss but expect a pretty good one so we will see what happens.

Only 2 nights to go.... Took my cals. to a clean 2K, body needed the extra to rebuild after 3 very heavy lift days. Walked 45 mins. last night, planning about the same tonight. Sunday, between shifts, I'll hit the gym for a back workout + 30-45 min walk. Had a big drop on the scales mid-week, to much, to fast. Now scales are holding steady, +1/-1 lb. of where I need to be this week. Like to see a 1-2 lbs lost, we'll see Monday...
@Earl, try ZMA's, they helped me, sleep like a baby...
Weights looked great yesterday, keep it up folks!!!!Mike

Had a day of cardio and saved lifting for tomorrow. Ill probably make sure I walk around a little also. I realized i wasnt looking at this as a lifestyle change but rather a diet so I shifted my focus a bit and plan to pace myself more.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

Don't sweat it...looks like you have a long-term plan in action, and if you're putting in the work, you'll get there. My scale hasn't moved much since we started this, but I've a bit more muscle tone and feel A LOT better. And for me, 'feeling good' is what it's all about. We just gotta keep working hard and we'll all get there

Weigh in: 210 even
I've lost an average of 1.5 lbs a week for the last 3 weeks. This week was a small loss, but I know it'll be up and down. I'll buckle down this week and stay focused. I'm very happy with an average of 1.5 lbs a week though.Hi, I'm Crystal :)

The weekend been good!
I couldnt get out of work early so I had to miss Friday's gym session.
I dont go to the gym weekends but on Saturday I did. I had to cycle to work and use the gym. Then cycle back.
In the afternoon took my 3 sons to the park. I was totally bushed!!! Come home, start cooking for dinner,
I sure dont like doing the gym the weekends! Hopefully that wont happen again!

Staying near 1450 yesterday was really hard! Made it at 1475!
First they had cake at my kid symphony rehearsal to welcome families. I did manage to stick to my black coffee (I love cake!) then we had pizza for family movie night and my husband's Hawaiian pizza looked so delicious. But I stuck to my order of breadstick and marinara (400 cal) with a diet coke! Made it
I took some progress pic yesterday. The back one (in bodyspace) is very encouraging. I see my atrophied right glute has started to fill in in about 4 month and it does look like muscle. I'm still very uneven but I thought it would never catch up. Maybe in a year, I'll start seeing results?
Definitely motivating
Happy Sunday everyone!** Marie **

morning everyone!
Sunday is here and im getting ready to have my eggs and go on a walk before i watch the browns play. im really pumped that i made it through another weekend. turns out its not really that bad if i keep my eye on the prize. just like yesterday, my friend and i was on out way to disk golf and i took him through the mcdonalds drive through so he could get a coke and fries. i didnt get anything. i had fruit and water in a cooler in the back seat waiting for me. i just dont need it. he kinds had a few comments about it laughing. nothing hurtful but in the back of my head im thinking yeah, you eat and drink that stuff. get fat.

The key is patience and discipline
I've been in a deficit every week since the beginning of july, going to be dropping around 40lbs in time for summer (1st Dec). Down about 17lb so far. I'll end up around 7% bf, sitting at close to 15% now.
Hang in there guys, once you reach your goal you'll realise it was all worth it!16/8/13

looking forward to living every day like i should. going outside and being fit. who knows,,,,, maybe even taking my shirt off out in public. some of you may laugh at that but to some of us. being able to take our shirts off and not feeling awful about it is a huge thing. theres so much more to losing weight than looks. i know this. but you can be dang certain that im ALSO looking forward to the looks part.

Had a great workout between shifts, ready for my last night. Little weak at the gym, lots of supersets to over come it and still kill the muscle. Diet is very tight, maybe a little to much last night.... hungry as ..... about 3 am. Tomorrow is my weigh in looking at 1 lb this week, 20 hrs and we'll see...

So much this. Living inside of a body you hate is no way to live if you have a choice about it.
Had a decent weekend. I definitely binged last night a bit as I broke up with my gf (feels.jpg) and also my bicycle has been in the shop since Friday afternoon, so I didn't get to go for my 130km ride this weekend. Back on it today though. I supplemented with a few hours of running split across Saturday/Sunday and about 3000m of swimming. I was going to do more swimming yesterday, but just stuck to a one hour run instead.
I have 70.3 Korea coming up in two weeks, and I have a half marathon this weekend. Hope to set a PR on the stand-alone HM (current PR 1:39...but that was in a triathlon) and if I could make it under 5 hours for the 70.3 in Korea that would be phenomenal! Time to beat is 5:13.46 from my last 70.3. I have been trying to make sure I get in all of my swim training, as in the last 70.3 I didn't do well at all during the swim portion. Self seeding at the start is crucial to make sure you don't over-extend or under-extend your abilities since you are surrounded by other swimmers.
Looking forward to everyones weigh in this today. It's already Monday morning for me so i'll post in on my usual Tuesday!July 2012 - 280lbs

I have another perspective on this theme. The way I see it, my body is the one thing that I know for sure will be with me until the day that I draw my last breath. Nothing else that I have will ever be more important. I would choose good health over a big house, a fancy car, or fine clothes. You can't buy good health. It is invaluable and priceless.
Here's my edited video from my jump off Black Rock. It's not the biggest deal in the world but I figured that I might as well do it this trip because I was never going to be any younger than I was that day.
"It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do." It's not silly at all man. When I was younger I was extremely overweight, I've been through more bullying than most, never had a shirt off in public. ever.
As I am getting leaner, I am getting a certain mental clarity I've never had before. General wellbeing is very high as is my outlook on life
Just keep at it man and you will get there16/8/13

Thank you!
Thanks, will look into them!
Had a good weekend. With two birthday house parties and one awesome Sunday after I must say that I had a very fun weekend. Calories were for Saturday 3000 and yesterday around 1300 which is just the way I like it. I always end up around 4500 on Saturday hehe. Also, made some steps with a girl I like instead of some random bimbo lol. So this terrible terrible week turned around into a pretty great one. For today: Monday chest day.

1700 cal yesterday. Missed my Sunday goal of 1450. Basement flooded and I had to clean up. I was feeling sorry for myself, doing well with food until my family brought home fries (which they never ever do) had 1/2 cups or so. French fries are my kryptonite.
And TOM - the scale doesn't even sense.
I can only power through the week at 1700 and not worry about yesterday.
Have a great week everyone!** Marie **
