They haven't changed them in 60 years because they are good. You don't put a spoiler and gang banger rims on a 69 Camero because it is a classic and stands better untouched.
Ohio State's traditional unis are some of the best in sports. The buckeye leafs are such an icon it is a travesty to see them removed to look "hip" or "cool".
Fads will come and go and in 10 years you will realize how cheezy some of these uniforms are.
Penn State, Chicago Bears, Montreal Canadiens, etc will always be classics and always look good.
It's kind of shame to me that schools will throw tradition out the door for some flashy flavor of the week that will draw in recruits. Half the time I turn games on for college football I can't tell right away who is even playing.*MFC*

Difference of opinion. As time moves on the logo's and design should evolve. Not ever changing it just tells me you don't want to put money into your brand. Sure, you'll always have a solid fan base at places like Texas and Penn State because of tradition, but part of their job is to attract a newer/younger fan base. Coming up with creative flashy designs accomplishes that. But there's 2 worlds here, one just prefers tradition more than the other.
With all of the new technology to print more elaborate designs today, it just strikes me as lazy and cheap to keep your 2 tone plain jersey with nothing more than a number on the helmet.

I guess I delineate it between teams that have tradition and those that don't. Penn State, Texas, Alabama, etc can keep a pretty conservative approach because their previous successes have made their appearance classic and something to be desired. Teams like Oregon and Boise State have made themselves relevant by going out on a limb and pushing the envelope. Oregon would never be the powerhouse the are today without the recruiting boost supplied by nike. No one would have ever heard of Boise State if they had never installed a blue field which garnered attention to thier games that they wouldn't have otherwise had. I guess schools with past success have it easier because they can rest on the laurels of thier past success and look good doing it. The new threats and wannabe threats to thier positions have to try to gimmick thier way in.

Every "all black" version of a uniform is stupid. THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME. All black/grey uni with the schools colors outlining their logo or something. It's the same thing. All black =/= cool or the best, its unoriginal, boring, and just trying too hard to look hard.

lol wtf, strong logo covering the entire pants that only makes sense standing slightly to the left... their current uni's are underrated

The purple drop shadow on a black jersey looks ridiculous... same with the Jets using dark green on black... you can tell it wasn't meant to be used that way.
