Some lifting from yesterday, loaded up the Hammer Strength Deadlift with 10 plates/side for a triple.

At the end of the video you can see that the equipment was tempting me to do a drop set...

Thank you - it is actually a Hammer Strength Deadlift Machine, but looks very similar to the Shrug Machine (they also have one at this gym).
It is a Golds Gym and I am pretty mellow when I am not overloading the machines so I don't seem to be a concern to them. I also wouldn't do anything that would damage any equipment.Pro Strongman & Former National Champion

To simulate a car deadlift you would need to get two barbells, a rack to put them against, dumbbells to anchor the barbells, and then load a similar number of plates. In many cases you also need platforms as well since the initial height is too low to pull from.
Here are examples:
Trap bar can also be used but a pivot lift is much more similar to the real deal, and most trap bars at commercial gyms are the type that can only hold 5-6 plates/side.Pro Strongman & Former National Champion
