I started eating salads almost nightly about two months ago. I use myfitnesspal daily but didn't track sodium too tightly. I was concerned with cals, macros, and sugars
I found my diet is EXTREMELY low in potassium and I'm over my sodium almost daily. When going back through my food journals I realized my biggest sodium intake was coming from my wishbone light balsamic vinagerette dressing.
I will occasionally use olive oil which is 0 sodium. I typically would use olive oil if I was low on my fat intake but like I said hadn't paid that close attention to sodium. However, I would like a low calorie alternative to olive oil so I'm not wasting my calories on dressing. I'd rather use them towards other things
For potassium, I bought a potassium supplement off amazon and will start adding that in. I have 1/2 banana with my post workout shake but most of my diet is pretty weak in potassium so I'll need to look at that after my sodium intake gets under control.

Any very low sodium salad dressings you could recommend?

Tomatoes have quite a bit of potassium in them too, so do many vegetables; just work more of those into your diet.
Or just look for 'low sodium' on the bottles of dressing, there are a few out there.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

Vinegar and oil. Mix them with spices and mustard, shake, and you have more of a 'dressing' if you want it fancier. I just go with vinegar and oil most of the time because it's a cleaner taste.
