    My fitness pal

anyone here us it with mixed results?
I have seen some anomalies and wondered if its very accurate?
seems my salt intake is off the charts. even when I keep close tabs on what I eat the salt is always way over. any ideas to what I need to do to raine it in?

there is lots of salt in almost anything we buy, unfortunately. That meaning usually it is right with what intake we put in, but if youre drinking enough water it shouldn't matter all that much and help balance it out along with the fiber intake

MFP is just an estimate. it does not matter if ur sodium is off. just drink more water and eat potassium. its not that important. unless u have some kind of illness.

Many things on MFP are put in by users, so inaccuracies happen pretty often.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

    yeah this is true.

Im not sure they have it on the mobile app, but on the computer when you check for you food nutrition they tell you how many user has confirmed the nutrition facts. So, try picking the one with the highest confirmation.

I've used MFP for nearly 600 days and had a lot of success with it. If you're concerned about the accuracy, just double check against the packaging, or Google the food to fine nutrient value.

Is there a specific health concern you have with sodium intake?

If you've never tracked calories and nutrients before, it can be an eye-opener when you see how much sodium is in foods we typically eat.

I use it all the time. Just scan the bar code with the bar code scanner and you'll have no issues with putting in your food.
