People say he 'humbled' himself in that movie, but that wasn't the case at all. Remember in the 1st part of the movie where he was so out of shape because he couldn't get on his horse. His acting was brilliant in that movie.Originally Posted by dbx

Agree Unforgiven was Clint's best work! Also really liked The Outlaw Josey Wales.

No doubt, I'm with ya here. It's just that, Unforgiven is a much more "mature" Eastwood flick. Not only in terms of his age, but in terms of his wisdom/life when writing the "grittiest" (real) portrayal of life back at that time. The language...everything.
