20 days and still going strong with keeping a deficit. Although, some days I barely eat enough. (Only ate 950ish on Friday)
Cardio however hasn't been going that good. My bad knee has started to hurt again so no cardio. Hopefully it's just because of the weather... :S- Biracial Angel Crew

Wellllll....i woke up this morning with a ton of energy so decided to take it to the streets. Ran 6 miles in 1 hour and 1 minute, that is a personal best for sure. I was pretty pumped and for the first time felt more like an athletic guy running rather than a fatty.

^^^ good luck on your journey bro.. I say do what you have to do, just don't lose sight of your goals.. I don't post much but I've read every post in here.. Seems like a good group who just want everyone to be successful so I'd say check in from time to time..
as for me, these boards have been a god send.. Learning about macros etc... Diet has been pretty spot on, switching my protein up to ensure I get over 200g a day.. finally got motivated enough to get back in the gym today after 3 days off.. I feel good.. Its amazing how the exercise becomes addicting..

@happytexan.. Thanks man.. Appreciate it.. About 3lbs away from the big 100lbs milestone... Still a long way to go tho.. You look like you are starting to lean out nicely man big difference.. Isn't it pretty cool watching your body changing? I'm starting to see more definition in my arms.. Calves look sick.. I dunno I'm finally at a point where I can see the change's.. Thats enough motivation to keep pushing.

Had a great weekend, set an awesome PR on Sunday. 4.5 hours straight on the toilet. 6.5 hours total.
Supermarket salad bar. Not even once.
I've never tried it but i think it might be a good idea on a cut, if you also cycle your cals, filling up your glycogen before lift days (or on if you lift later in the day) For me i can't really add any carbs other than those i already consume and to cycle would greatly affect my meals in general. My losing fat log - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165340371

Had a bit of a dip over the weekend - Chinese takeaway on Friday night and small amounts of junk on Saturday (nothing huge, just might have busted my calorie limits by 500cals or so)
Not beating myself up too much for the weekend as other than that I had a good week and I have another week before weigh in to nail the diet, workouts have been pretty solid too. Current food intake today: Protein/creatine shake post-workout, and some chicken and rice for lunch which should see me through to dinner tonight (meat + veg)
Got a good feeling about this week!

Morning everyone! Hope everyone had a good weekend!
Did my 10k on saturday, had a lot of fun. We did it in 1hr 15min which isn't my best time but it was a really hilly course and we weren't really running for time so whatever.
As expected weight is basically the same as last week. A little disappointed even though I knew there wouldn't be a loss. Lately this is about the time where I'd probably start backsliding so I'm going to really try to stay focused this week. I'm really hoping to get into the 140s for the next weigh in. I feel like getting below 150 is the hurdle I haven't been able to get over this year.

@laurab ya it was a good run and im slow too, especially compared to some haha but its nice to be able to just enjoy it. Great job on your run too.
@ grebber lol I love football too, a huge Texans fan so I know disappointment too. The browns are getting much better and even I look for their games when they are on so I can see what johnny is up too.
As for my own progress I had a great weekend with no road blocks, ran that 10k, weighted in this morning at exactly 273.0, so that is awesome. Not sure if I trust it though because I lost a lot of water weight running that 10k, but did rehydrate all day sunday327lbs @ 1 APR. '14

I had a maintenance day where I ate 3200 calories, but it was all healthy food. Today I woke up with almost NO energy. I think my body needs a break after digesting all that food.
Happily returning to deficit again until the 1st!Started 2013: 450 lbs

I haven't updated in this thread much on my progress, I am going to try to be more consistent than I have been.
Weighed in at 311.8 on Friday (46.2 lbs lost since 6/6), 3 lbs down since Monday. Outside of this threads I have been using Friday weigh-ins to track progress since my Monday weights tend to vary depending on if I had rugby that weekend. I eat significantly more on Friday night, and saturday, about 300 calories (mostly carbs) on Fridays, and 5-700 more calories on Saturdays carbs and protein, to prepare for, and recover from games. This seems to carry over to Mondays as water wait, by Tuesday/Wednesday I am typically back below my Friday Morning weight. I weigh myself frequently, which I know many people warn against, but I do it with purpose. Tuesdays, Thursdays (Rugby practice) and Saturdays (Games) I weigh myself 2-3 times a day, in the morning, pre-training/game, and post, to track hydration. It is a bit anal, but it works for me, and I find it pretty interesting.
Tonight (in like 15 minutes actually) I am headed to the local university to do a Bod Pod test, they offer it for $30 for the first test, and $15 for each follow up. I plan to test every 12 weeks to check my progress. I will update here with the results.
After that I am headed back to the gym, planning to start increasing the amount of core work I do this week. I haven't done much weighted core work since starting the cut, and I am starting to miss it. I still get some core work from compound lifts and rugby practice, but it definitely isn't the same.
