100 k is a small percentage of the population to some but to those 100k that were diagnosed is a different story. No need to constantly be checking to see if the size increased . Play it safe find another doc and follow up with him or her but dont let this rule your life or be on your mind every moment of the day. If you play the odds they are surely in your favor of it not being anything more then some hard tissue.

As mentioned it could just be genetic, as some people just naturally get it. In some cases it goes away on it's own. I'm not sure what the big deal is though, half the size of a pea wouldn't be noticeable at any percentage of body fat. Some guys look like they have golf balls under their nipples. If you're truly concerned go to a doctor.
