I worked security for two years before going back to grad school. The best way to make the time go by is to read/study while listening to music. I usually went through old anatomy/physiology notes (working on my DPT now) and it definitely kept you from feeling mentally vacant.
If you're stuck on graveyards then just hang yourself, though. There's absolutely nothing spiritually or physically worthwhile in doing that bull****.Excuses are just tools of incompetence

If you've been there then you'll understand. My first shift of the week started Sunday at midnight and I would usually spend the first two hours contemplating my existence. It doesn't help that my assignment was **** and the management was off-kilter, but the overall effect of 8-12 hour shifts in an underpaid security slot was devastating.

Learn a new language
Get a laptop and take online college courses (there are some out there that are free)
104 books in 52 weeks challenge (doubled the books since you got so much time to kill)
Get a basketball and work on dribbling
Write a book
Learn something new everyday (about astronomy, biology, physics, engineering, etc)PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.
GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.
PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?
GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.
PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad.
GANDALF: No. No, it isn't.

you wouldnt burn money so don't "kill" time (srs)
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Why try to kill time by wasting it?
Do something productive for at least half of it. Learn something new. If you have a career in mind, research the **** out of it, and get a step ahead of your peers. Just don't waste the time, make something useful out of it. Make it so that you're getting paid to learn, not to just be a security guard. And use what you learn to make more money.
Knowledge is power. That statement aint no lie, brother.RIP Zyzz

No idea man. My brother took some courses online that were registered under Michigan State University lol.
I know that at my college there's some decent classes online, but most are pretty chit for the better portion. At my friends university they have some pretty interesting courses. Just ask around at your school, do some online looking - I'm sure you'll find some sick courses.
If not, just find textbooks for things that interest you and read them to learn chit I guess.PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.
