As a Black person I am aware that most non-Blacks hate people like me, due to a variety of reasons such as my people's poor history (i.e. lack of scholarly achievement and civilization), high crime rates in our communities, high rates of promiscuity and subsequent high rates of STDs, and even shallow reasons such as the way we look. I've come to accept that I am at the bottom of the totem pole, as there is nothing I can do to change how the world views people like me. All I can do is try to improve myself as an individual and enjoy my life to the best of my ability. I suppose the reason I've come to accept and live with this truth is my espousal of nihilism; in the long run, life is worthless regardless of how it is lived. Intelligent or unintelligent, beautiful or ugly, rich or poor, we're all going the same way.

Guess she expected he'd give his seat up for her? I thought she was going off on me at first so i was ready to hand it to her then i turned around and saw him on headphones giving a wtf stare before ignoring her. I see it all the time.. so hateful.

Another time on the bus just me and a black couple taking a late night inbound they're having an argument and she starts flipping out and hitting him while he's chill. Batsh!t crazy like ive never seen before. He said at the end he was gonna lay her out when they get off the bus and he's never lost a fight, i wanted to shake his hand for that before i got off.

To be honest, if it wasn't their race, it would be another reason. A lot of men in general on here have an issue with loving themselves and blame their existence on why they're alone. When they blame their race, though, it's very sad...especially when they come from a people with THE LARGEST POPULATIONS IN THE WORLD. :/

That's unfortunate, but I've seen black men purposely yell hateful things about black women in front of black women. The way some of them approach black women is sad, so I can see why some black women are on edge. But I agree it goes both ways, just like any other race. I've seen white guys talk major **** about white women and vice versa, it is sad all around.

Carry the love you have for yourself thought life. The higher you climb, you'll find more and people uncomfortable with you being in spaces they feel you shouldn't occupy. The faces change and the reasons change but in life, no matter who is against you, if you can stand alone and be happy with who you are, you'll always make it.

I can very much confirm this but I will never, EVER paint black men with a broad brush because of the ignorant ones I've come across. As many attitude filled, neck popping black women you find, there are also thuggish, abusive, disrespectful black men.

As many soft spoken, loving and supportive black women you find, there are also respectful, kind and committed black men. I've seen and experienced both sides of the coin.
