The lift looks pretty good, but putting the bar back down looks a little dodgy to me. His legs seem to be getting in the way a lot. He is about 6'3 like me, so I know how akward it can be when your legs are so long.
When I first seen this article I thought it was some weird variation of a deadlift that I'd never heard of haha.

Not generally a big fan of movie stars and their training "exploits," but I'm increasingly coming around to realize that that guy is the real deal.
More power to him.No brain, no gain.

Thats why I posted. Not to say "omg look how strong he is" or for people to gloat how much more they can lift. But just because I was surprised to see an actor doing a totally respectable amount like that with what looked like really solid form. When I see and hear about actor transformations, I think there is a tendency to downplay the hard work element, and play up the fact that they have the best coaches, nutritional gurus, "supplemental" help, etc. So its actually cool to see the hard work side of it. Its cool because he is being honest to the kids who look up to him and want to look like Wolverine that it takes a ton of hard work to get there.

Le Mis was from 2012, so likely filmed in 2011. Since then he did the most recent X Men movie, will be Wolverine again soon enough when they do the sequel to both X Men and the standalone Wolverine series, and apparently will play a jacked up Blackbeard in the meantime. So pretty much every movie at this point has him staying big (though I'm not sure if Blackbeard will need to be as shredded as Wolverine...)
