Got the ****er. Should have been 2 sets of 3 but my nose exploded after my first set. Blood everywhere on my face and the bottom of the mono. Looked pretty bad ass in a gay crossfit kinda way. Either way the sudden drop in blood pressure made me go faint so I racked it. Hit it for another set and I crushed that elusive triple.
My best ever double was 300x2. And the first rep of that set was high as a kite. Over all I'm just so much stronger than I have ever been.

One more 2 week cycle of Smolov junior bench to go and a short peak to follow. 155 10x3 should mean a 182.5 single. I'll hit 165 for multiple singles and then 175 a few days later for atleast 2 strong singles. Those will be my attempts. Coming into competition my second attempts will all have been executed for 2 good singles giving me confidence. My 3rd will reflect the 2nd but this method creates consistency.
Set 3 and set 10 of triple.

Silly mistake with the squat. Good spotting crew so I wasn't tired at all from the miss. Very happy. 330 next week and that's it!

Deadlift night.

Interesting session, and crucial for my mental toughness. I have poured so much of myself into this competition prep that I am finding myself very anxious and nervous before I train.
My first rep moved really well. I rushed the set up and was a bit nervous. My 320 warm up was ridiculous but I really need to get past this ****. I missed my second rep at the knee. I have never missed a sumo deadlift there. Part of the reason was the lack of commitment, but I've been training in these leggings my friend who competed at the Comm games got me and the bar actually snagged on the way up. The miss was physically and mentally very taxing.
Old Fuzzy would have called it there. But I knew I had to hit it for one more single to leave the gym happy. I set a 12 minute timer (t simulate competition gap between attempts) and I also put my soft suit on and talced my legs. The rep was slow but I got it. as I approached the bar I could feel the tenderness and tightness in my back and I had to banish all the mental thoughts going through my head. The one thing I kep telling myself was 'this is exactly how ****ed up and tired you are going to feel at the comp. What if you need to pull a 3rd to win?)
This was a very big mental session for me. And has boosted my confidence like no other. This was also a 7.5kg all time PB for multiple reps/attempts whilst still quite banged up from my 317.5kg squat.
I very much want to his 380 in the gym and I feel like I can if I get my head right and commit 100%. Which I will.
No excuses. I will succeed.

140x3, called it there, lower back was feeling interesting.
Yes. ****ing yes. 20kg pb from last year. And this was with me wrapping myself instead of the Kristos death wrap.
4 bench sessions, a deadlift session, and a light lower body session to go. Less than 2 weeks out. I am coming to kill, destroy , and **** everyone who forgot who the **** Fuzzy was.

Not a crash hot session. I was so wired after squatting I only had 4 hours sleep last night.
Bench
70x5
120x3
145x4x5
145x3 missed last rep
Slingshot
160 4x4
Just felt like ass an my biceps were in sheer agony from squatting last night. Could barely control the bar. Made up for the lack of volume with slingshot.
I have got to make sure I nail my bench session Friday as that will set up the very short peak into the meet.
My body weight is also sitting a touch high too. 114.1 night weight. Tapering carbs down after Thursday's deadlifts. It's not a lot of weight but being a morning weigh in it's one thing I don't want to or need to stress about.
Getting a long sleep tonight. Tomorrow is off completely. Big deadlift coming Thursday.

Figured I'll fire this up again.
Short story. Body chucked a fit after last meet, was unable to train without my entire body siezing up. Took about 9 weeks off.
I am no back and more determined than ever. I am doing an extended 26 week prep into my next meet in May. Yes, I have started prepping now for this meet. My aim is to hit a 2000-2100 total and to take Pozdeev's 405kg all time as well.
I have finished my first 4 week conditioning block, 170kg 5x8 high bar beltless squats, 210 beltless conventional deadlift and other bits like that.
Commencing block 2/6 this Monday. Weekly template and peak weight for the 4th week of the block, so building up each week.
Monday
High bar squat, no belt, no sleeves, 210 5x5
Double paused low bar, 170 6x4 (yes, paused below par and sticking point
Tuesday
Bench 130 8x4
incline bench 105 6x6
Wednesday
atg front squat, no belt, 170 6x6
paused high bars, 170 6x4
ssb squats, 175 4x4
Thursday, delts
Friday
Conv deads, no belt, 250 6x6
Paused fronts, 170 4x4

I didn't mind. I added 200lbs to by best total with a 16 week prep. Body was trashed lol. Thanks for being in in the ride. It's gonna be boring for a whole but it's the non glamorous **** tent makes you strong.
High bar ATg squats
180 6x6
Low bar double pause, bottom and just above par
165 5x5
Very pleased with this. I had programmed 145 for the double pauses but i seem to be ridiculously stronger than I ever was. This new hip strength and mobility + wider stance is seriously powerful. It's early days but I think 780-800 on wraps is there by may @242.

Bench - seems to be moving. Shoulder ok.
115 6x6
115 + yellow band 2x6
110 + yellow band 2x6
Interesting little change up. I put the band around my back and it's a light one. Just have a bit of resistance and ensured I really drove hard through each rep.
Incline bench
80 2x8, 4x6
Nothing exciting, got a few ideas now for bench though and I really really need to torch the volume up in this department.
Also go new adipowers. Can't wait to squat tomorrow.[/quote]

Knees are aching hard. Need some tlc.
Deadlifts, conventional no belt
220 6x6
Sldl off 2 blocks.
170+ 4 chains 5x6
Skipped paused fronts because of adore mentioned knee pain. I need to be more diligent in direct hamstring work as well so will make that more of a focus instead of chasing squat volume.
