    They push extremely heavy loads, in a ton of different functional movements, and they eat non-stop. Most of them are also naturally prone to an endomorph body type to begin with.
    If you are naturally skinny, with ectomorph tendencies, it will be difficult to look like a strong man.

    I am endomorphic in body type but I think his bones are just bigger than mine. Can I thicken my bones through heavier loads?

    Strongman training places a lot of emphasis on overhead pressing movements. A strong mans big 3 are the squat, deadlift and the overhead press. Bench pressing isn't as important for them.

    So all the overhead pressing is obviously the reason these guys have such huge shoulders.

    The current worlds strongest man Zyundras Savickas has unbelievable power in his shoulders. No weight lifter in the world would get near him in overhead pressing movements. His best on the log press is 500 pounds. He's freakishly strong!

    Genetics is also the other reason these guys are like they are, you'll never be a top strongman without being a freak genetically.

    Many strongmen have very long clavicles. Look at that mans clavicle. It is very long. It is very possible that all that heavy lifting stretches the ligaments of their shoulder girdles, thus giving even more width.

    I for one would be much more excited to ohp 2 plates than bench 3.
