I currently have a note 3 and love it. I cant go back to a beta screen less than 5.5 inches, so i am intrigued by the new iphone. What does the misc think?
I love android for its openess and lack of restrictions compared to iOS and its ability to function a lot like a pc in terms of file access.
What reasons would there be to get an iphone 6 over a note 4? So far it seems as if the note is set to have better specs across the board.
Also, can you easily watch torrented movies on iphones like you can on android?

I have a Note 3 and love it as well. It's a bit early to comment on these two phones, since official specs or even photos aren't out for either yet.
Regardless, if Apple does offer a 5.5" screen, I may switch.
I've been reading a lot about the security of iOS vs Android recently, and iOS (non-jailbroken) is just far, far ahead of the game. To me, the security of your primary communications device is huge.480s / 370b / 495d / 235 x 2 SOHP

I hear ya. Going by leaked rumored specs the note 4 seems to be better in every single category but im someone who likes change and ive been a galaxy user for my last 3 phones. The main draw is the flexibility of the android os.
the thing i like about iphones however is that it seems to have more app and accessory support since it has the largest install base.Certified 1200 ng/l T

The thing I'd keep in mind is that iOS seems to be "lighter" than Android, especially with all the bloatware our Samsung phones have. I seriously doubt either will be laggy.
The only concern I have is about the battery, until I see definite specs on it. The 5s had terrible battery life.
I think it might come down to how much you're using the phone for. I discovered that I really only call, text, browse the web and listen to music on mine. I can't imagine any of that being an issue on either platform. I doubt that Apple is going to do much in the way of allowing personalization like Android does.480s / 370b / 495d / 235 x 2 SOHP

Honestly I think a lot depends on the stylus factor. ever since I got the note 2 i pretty much use the stylus for everything, including web browsing, games, etc. Not only is the tip more precise for smaller links (like if you have bb.com in full website mode), but also personally i prefer it to using my finger.

Got no idea whats in it yet.
But basing on the trend on how android evolves, its only getting better. Android has gone a long way from during their breakout period of GB/ICS to KK now. So expect nothing but improvements on 5.0 or the one they call Android L.
We wont know until they release it though. It can also be possible that they run out of ideas already lol. Well one year may be too short to come up with new features.Steam - jinda28

Idk why everyone is talking about specs. The Note will have the best ones on paper but apple SoCs have amazing performance in real use and benchmarks.
There's been no leaks regarding the 5.5 inch iPhone except for most sources pointing at it being more premium than the 4.7". So I'd fully expect it to at least match the note 4 in performance... Its also rumored to retail for like $1200 thoughBut that's just my opinion... Don't get all BUTTHURT if you don't like that opinion.

Comparing the benchmark of Note 3 and Iphone 5s is not really an exact match.
- 1080x1920 vs 640x1136
- 5.7 vs 4.0
- 3200mAh vs 1560 mAh battery
- 13MP vs 8MP
Their performances in most benches are almost the same because their power is proportional to each requirement. Even if Iphone have lower clock cpu/gpu, it only powers smaller screen. Same as the very high specs of Note 3 but it powers higher hardware also.
That's why even for Note 4 vs Iphone 6 4.7" comparison, it wont really mean anything.
BUT I'm interested to see Note 4 (International) vs Iphone 6 5.5" comparison though. Because they will both have 64-bit SoC.
I'm a bit disappointed with the US version (SD805) as its still 32 bit. Wondering how I can get the 64 bit Exynos version but my free upgrade is from TMO. Surely its Snapdragon.Steam - jinda28

I agree. The iPhone has the lesser resolution screen so it doesn't need as much power and it doesn't do true multitasking so it doesn't need as much RAM
But that's just more reason as why the specs don't matter. I can't see apple going with that <1080p screen on a 5.5" phone though so I would think it also had more power than the 4.7"..
Also I don't think you want the exynos version. I believe the reason they don't make it for the us is because it doesn't support our LTE bandsBut that's just my opinion... Don't get all BUTTHURT if you don't like that opinion.

Yes, thats how it was on Note 3. But I think I read somewhere that all variants US and International will support the same LTE frequency thats why I'm hopeful.
If not, then I might get the snapdragon version or get something else as I'll be qualified for another upgrade by December anyway. Next Nexus is what I'm looking at if Note 4 disappoints me.Steam - jinda28

damn bro been in this situation all my life always between a NOTE or an iPhone because to me all other devices are crap...
to be honest it's just a question of the software because at this point both will be good phones but longterm will start to get slow but I prefer iPhones because they don't bug like all the samsung or android devices I've had.
wait for the iphone 6, we all know there won't be any NEW software revolution but eh. The few features iOs devices have work GREAT not to say perfect.
Samsung well eh.. they all work 50% of the time.++Positive Crew++

In reply to those who say samsung devices **** on apple spec wise
I can only reply this: iphone's software do NOT REQUIRE as much energy as samsungs and this is why samsung have 8 cores phones and apple is still dual core and rolls perfectly. Point is not to start a android vs apple debate because NOT everyone has the same cellphone needs. some people want to watch TORRENTS on their phones well on iphones it's gonna be a ****load of complication vs android where u just download it off internet... anyways keep in mind specs aren't everything!
some specs YES are really better I won't lie, I'm an apple fan but the camera of samsung products are like twice the megapixels which destroy the camera of an iPhone but you have to weight the pros and cons to see what's worth it more for you.++Positive Crew++

You know that's a stupid statement right? Do you know that 24.9% (about 1 of 4) of phone users own a Samsung phone? Apple is 2nd at 11.7% (about 1 of 9) and the rest of the other brands less than that.
If Samsung work 50% of the time, do you think people will buy them?
You obviously dont know what you are talking about.

Edit: Wizard above^^
According to Engadget, Kitkat/ICS/JB is the most stable OS crashing 0.7% of the time compared to iOS7.1 with 1.6%.
And Samsung S4 as the most stable phone with lowest crash rate of 0.9%.

LOL my statement is stupid?
look at the number of iphones that exist and the number of samsungs
all iphones require an expensive data plan while a lot of samsung models don't and this makes it more accessible for everyone.
I am saying that the samsung gadgets, functions don't work 50% of the time and you know it deep down your heart try using that reading mode on the web where it detects your eyes and scrolls down for you when your eyes move down.
There are 9 iphones in total that ever existed.
There are ? samsung. I am too lazy to count but on GSMarena I see 12 pages ... Not trying to compare both products but from my personal experience, gadgets don't work well on samsung products.++Positive Crew++

Again, see post#26. Most stable phone unit with least crashes is a samsung phone. Most stable platform is an Android platform. If 50% of samsung units doesnt work, do you think android will top the stability report?
Do you even math?
Seems like you dont so its up to you what you believe lol.
Sorry last one lol.

Simple answer. Do any of your friends or family have an iphone. Then that means they use iMessage.
I was in a group text at work today. One guy had android. Lol he was literally 5 texts behind the entire conversation.
No iMessage = No want
Won't even consider Android again until it's a smooth transition. No the poverty apps that "work" with iMessage don't work for ****.-= BLACK AND GOLD =-
