I thought I was the only lazy person in the world who put if back in the carton. But I make a lot of eggs and I can't be bothered walking back and forth to the garbage.
But I do after I'm done

Egg shells in carton first and then to trash. Never put carton back in fridge with empty shells. Agree 100% that eggs must be cooked perfectly and the first few seconds are, in fact, critical.

Carton. My old roommates mind = blown when he noticed I did that. It's the GOAT way. Also noticed when he'd steal some because he'd forget to leave the shells.
