Mr. wheels30, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. You are now on par with BlueRev.

This went even better than I had hoped. You just never know when a potential comment of the year is going to pop up.

If you guys are really starting anew, I'd suggest having someone other than the owner handle customer service. He's probably too emotionally attached. Reminds me of most dry cleaners around me. As long as everything is positive, service is great. The minute I comment about wrinkles or uneven creases, it is somehow all my fault.

Not saying it might not taste fantastic only that it is Chocolate cake with icing not classic red velvet 2 very different things.
The point I was going for is it's still not made in the classic form/sense using beets along with the cocoa and vinegar ( citrus or buttermilk ) causing a dark red hue - which provide both the earthy sweetness and coloring - the classic form would have also used cooked flour icing the cream cheese came much later.

^ Good idea of how to make cooked flour icing and various flavoring options
http://korenainthekitchen.com/2013/0...d-velvet-cake/
^ Red velvet made with beets a modern take
http://food52.com/blog/4574-nigel-sl...late-beet-cake
^ A nice gourmet version using crème frâiche and poppy seeds
http://bittersweetblog.com/2009/03/19/seeing-red/
^Some other takes utilizing lemon and natural cocoa giving it a red hue
^ Beets alone would result in a much more brown look but the natural cocoa and vinegar can bring out even more red as you can see
^ And here is what your talking about - which is devil's food cake with a lot of red food coloring and cream cheese frosting-- Microwaves everyday crew --

I see where you're going with technicalities, but I personally would never buy a protein powder that tasted like beet root.

Beets were used as a source of sugar for a VERY long time and the earthy flavors enhance it bringing out more flavor then the chocolate by it self.
A lot of flavors you would likely hate alone are used in many things to bring out new flavors which you likely enjoy.
The best hot cocoa you can make imo utilizes crushed chili peppers, which cause you to experience much deeper flavor bringing the chocolate to the front I use this same technique in my chocolate cake. But if I called it chocolate chili cake - I think less people would seek it out.-- Microwaves everyday crew --

People have very short memories lately. A certain guy on the you tube made a video crediting another company for being the one who exposed him to the so called amino spiking trend when the reality is that I was talking about it online for almost a half year prior to him AND he sat down in my office right across my desk in the autumn of 2013 while I showed him our label (the correct way of disclosing any added aminos or non whole protein supplement to a whole protein product) long before he supposedly learned of it from them lol.
