If that crown is on the other side, it means the movement is in the watch upside down and will most likely tell the time backwards.

When comparing watches to tag heuer I always use Oris as an example. Such a better bang for your buck, get the Oris. That's their tribute to the red sea model or some ****, gorgeous watch. Do it.

Red Sea LE. they've done a couple of LE divers with left handed crowns, like the Great Barrier Reef LE divers date a while back

Went shopping with gf. Little did she know we would spend hours trying on watches huehuehue.

Black Bay. Biuriful in person, dat warm dial, dat burgundy/gold.


Pelagos. Super bold, amazingly engineered. Really sick, but I think the Black Bay is more wearable. Black Bay is perfect at 41mm (Pelagos 42mm). Tough choice between the two.


Milgauss. I liked the white in pictures, but not sure at all in person lol. Actually much preferred the black on the wrist.



De Ville Tresor. Strong $12k Omega. The movement was super hnnng looking. It has curved hour and seconds hand which is one of my fetishes. Super cool piece.




Speedmaster "Moonwatch Numbered Edition." Was unaware of this model, super cool since I like vintage Speedies. Quite a lot of differences, no crown/pusher guard therefore wears a really nice size, lugs are less twisted, obviously the hands. But I couldn't get past the seconds subdial hand. It's silver, when the others are white...I have no idea what the reasoning behind that is. I guess that the standard time hour/minute/second are silver, and the chrono hands are white. Still weird in my opinion.

Portuguese. You can really feel the rotor in these lol. I like the look of the other layout Portuguese but it is massively thick.

Master Geographic. As I've said I fuarking love this one. Didn't ask to try it on because they were busy selling someone an $160k clock srs. Will have to go back soon. I had never paid attention to the gold version but it was actually super cool, it also has the blue hands, really pops with the gold. But would get steel I'm sure.

Yeah I actually edited to say that but you wizard quoted me. It makes sense but still throws me off, having the subdials unbalanced. Regardless I think that's a super cool special edition Speedy.

edit: Idk, the more I look at it I think I'm used to the hands.

I ordered both ,oris is better. get it,blue face is so hnnng and unique. Tag is just another quartz. the oris has a vanilla band that takes some getting used to .

Just got a call from the watchmaker saying that it will cost $180-220 to fix my Orient Disk (some rust etc inside). A shame since it looked really good with colorful nato straps

The gold-plated versions are marked differently btw, the caseback is marked ´ Stainless Steel Back´ instead off Stainless Steel. And the case is probably plated in Nickel or brass before the apply the gold so you would have to have that removed to and nickel-plated again if you want it to look like Stainless Steel. so you can´t ´just´ deplate it.
Why would the 2sub be superior to the three sub?

Venus 178 vs Venus 188

The 2dial Venus 188 is a cam-operated chronograph beating at 18000 A/h continued as VJ7733 after 1966 which is a bullet-proof movement but isn´t as intricately designed as a pillar wheel chronograph.

The 3dial Venus 178 is a column-wheel operated chronograph beating at 18000 A/h as you all know the column-wheel operated chronograph are regarded as superior but WAY harder to service and build. But that is just the beauty off it.


AND the 3dial Venus 178 is housed in the Ref. 810 Top Time which is 38mm while the 2dial Venus 188 is housed in the ref 2002 Top time which is ´just´ 36mm .

All depends on how it's plated really.

Btw was just speaking personal preference, 2 sub dials just look better to me. You are right bout the prices though but even just on WUS there are several threads with people wanting to buy one and only rarely see one pop up in SS. Cuz lettuce be cereal gold(plated)+black dial is pure kitsch

True but I have thought about it on a Top Time and they are plated not on top off stainless.
And maybe weird but i NEVER buy Gold-Plated / Gold-Filled etc watches.
